White blooms on the trees.

At home here in several streets of Launceston, Tasmania, Australia there are these beautiful Melaleucas in bloom with white flowers, at their best at Christmas time.  The photo is of one street not too far from home.

Miss E invited us to her end of year dance concert at a private school auditorium just before Christmas.  Photos were not to be taken but a few mums and grandmothers took photos at the end of the concert with their phones.  I have placed a mark on top of Miss E's head in both the photos, and the second one is where some of the girls are leaving so hence tears.
Miss E is aged 12 so will continue dancing.

    1. It is a good experience, brings the young ones out of themselves, gives them confidence without being cocky. We love watching, even my husband enjoyed the concert and that's saying something.

  2. You must have been so proud Margaret, what a lovely performance that must have been, and wonderful for Miss E :) These dancing groups are great learning experiences, friendships made, working for each other to put on such a wonderful event. Kudos to the organizers also. And those trees are magnificent!

    1. Oh yes, the trees were beautiful when all in bloom, some years they don't bloom well but this year they excelled. Team work in Miss E's dance class, several do solos which Miss E did, and they do do well. I used to do the same when young..lol

    1. Yes, good trees. The dancers were all smiles whilst dancing, the kept in time with each other which is pleasing and not that easy to do in a group.

  4. It seems like Miss E's end-of-year dance concert was a special event, filled with emotion and cherished moments. Despite the no-photo rule during the concert, it’s wonderful that some memories were captured at the end, allowing you to hold onto those precious images.

    1. Usually the dance group have two concerts each year but we don't usually go to the mid year one though. The teacher has always had no rule for photos, but it's good to get some at the end. Miss E doesn't mind nor do her parents.

We have a lot of those trees planted in various areas of Launceston yet not really noticed until they flower in December.

  10. What a beautiful sight with those white blooms on the Melaleucas!
Sounds like Miss E had a lovely concert, and I can imagine the mix of emotions as the girls left. Such a special time for her at 12, and I’m sure dancing will continue to bring her joy and growth.

    Happy 2025, Margaret!
