Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers and are fairly easy to grow and do well in most areas of Tasmania, Australia.
Hydrangeas have a long history, with fossils dating back 40-65 million years and a wide range of cultural uses.
Hydrangeas are native to Asia and the Americas, and were first cultivated in Japan. Of course, growing in my garden.
Hebe plants are native to New Zealand, Australia, Chile, and some South Pacific Islands. They are valued in gardens in temperate climates and are especially suited to coastal areas.
And of course, tomatoes growing of which we have a few species.
What beautiful pictures of the hydrangeas.
ReplyDeleteI also love this plant, only here it is winter now, so we have to wait a while before they will bloom again.
Greetings Irma
They are very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty indeed.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, I tell you that hydrangeas have a bad reputation here because in the past it was said that in the house where there were hydrangeas the young woman did not get married. Therefore here it is rare to see them in the gardens.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of such a bad reputation of hydrangeas also here in Central Italy (see Norma2's comment).
ReplyDeleteI like that kind of round tomato.
Have a nice weekend!
Hi Margaret, I also really like Hydrangeas, they are so colorful and showy.
ReplyDeleteAll of yours are wonderful ❤️
I didn't know about Hebe plants, they are also very beautiful.
Have a great weekend
My favourite plants change with the seasons. I envy your tomatoes though. There is nothing like a home grown tomato and we didn't get any in this year.
