Sydney

I have this editing software the I believe some Real Estate Agents use for inside and outside of their house photos to enhance them, making them look different.  I did use that programme to make these photos 'different' of Sydney as the photos were very dark. The first photo is of the Opera House, from another angle rather than the normal one.  These photos were taken by my eldest son when he his wife and children visited.  If you don't like 'this look' it's ok, I won't be offended.

  1. It’s always interesting to see a different take on iconic locations, and these edited photos of Sydney certainly have a unique charm. It’s nice that you’ve used the software to brighten up the images. Thanks for sharing these! I just shared a new post; let me know what you think. Have a lovely weekend ahead.

    1. Thanks Melody. It's good to have a 'fiddle' every now and then.

  2. Of course weather makes a huge difference to how photos turn out. But with bright blue skies and clear views of the landscape, it has to be Sydney. With cloudy, grey images, it could be anywhere.

    1. Light sure does make a difference Hels, on the day these photo were taken it was dark, cloudy and near rain apparently.

  3. Margaret, the picture of the Opera House is very good and different from the one we always see. I'm sure that's what it looks like from the perspective that the observer has from his base.

    1. I was thinking most people see the Opera House from the normal angle and I thought it would be good to show a different aspect we hardly ever see of it, I'm pleased with my 'fiddling'.

    1. You are welcome EC. It is always good to see a building or landscape from a different angle, sometimes you have to looks twice to see if it's the same building.

  12. For God's sake there is nothing wrong with those photos.
Oh that GOD is not the looney in the USA - I tremble at using ITS name!

I must be and I am ashamed never to have been near the Opera House except to catch a ferry or "cat" across to Manly!
    Cheers

    1. Thank you R. The side I've shown of the Opera House is different even I had to look twice to see it was the same building and we all come to expect to see the same thing.

  17. I like a different set of tone you use. A bit of HDR too. Editing photos is like a lady wearing makeup and lipstick. It is a choice.

    1. Thanks.. Yes, it's a bit like HDR which I don't mind for some photos, I have turned it off on my phone HDR and don't usually alter my normal photos, it's ones own choice and it's good to do something different once in awhile.

    1. Something different Veronica, always nice to fiddle once in awhile. We always I think, expect to see the same angle on the Opera House, so it's good to see a different one.

It's also nice to see the other side of the Opera House.
On television we always see the other side, so with the water at the front.

  20. They do the job--- I have to remind myself that software is best as a tool for art or restoration. Occasionally I will find myself ending up with a "postcard" look, and I will zap it and start from scratch. I am a fan of your usual pictures!

  28. It’s great that you’re experimenting with editing software to enhance your photos! Sydney is such a vibrant and beautiful city, and it’s wonderful that you were able to capture different angles, like that unique view of the Opera House. Sometimes a change in perspective or a little enhancement can really highlight the beauty of a place in a new way. Whether or not someone prefers that style, what matters most is that the photos hold personal value to you and your family. It’s also lovely that your son and his family got to experience Sydney, and those memories are now preserved in your photos. Keep experimenting with your editing – sometimes it’s fun to try new things!

  32. Beautiful pictures from the heart of Australia. Yes, they are a bit different, but I like them. I also experiment sometimes and like to play with graphics programs. Sometimes you can get a great effect that distinguishes the photo and gives it a slightly different form.

Usually, most of the photos published on my blog are subjected to minimal editing, most often so that the reader does not know that they are being improved :))

You managed to show truly wonderful places in Sydney. The photos are really beautiful!
