Down at Dunalley, Tasmania.

The Hotel at Dunalley was built in 1866 and built by a prominent landowner, the pub burnt down in 1891 and rebuilt somewhat differently. The Hotel is situated at the gateway to the Tasman Peninsular down the southeastern area of the Island of Tasmania, Australia.
Not a big population in this small town.  There is a Canal called Denison Canal which opened for use in 1905 lets the boats pass through from one parcel of land to the other side.

The white daisies are on the banks overlooking the sea, and a bay.

  1. In a small town, they have all the key requirements covered: a large and welcoming pub, ocean views and lots of greenery.

    1. So true Hels, the pub is the hub of the town in many places within Australia.

    1. The hotel is very different from many hotels within Australia, Bill. This hotel looks more like a home.

    1. Oh so true EC, all things such as meetings and so on happen at Australians more remote hotels.

  9. It is a very grand hotel and appears still to be very important. I guess that is a semi outdoors area at the rear of the hotel.

    1. It is grand to look at, Andrew, rather odd to see in a remote type area down south, but they did build beautiful places back then very different from today's beautiful homes. Yes, there is an outdoor area I believe.

  10. I love hotels with a balcony. No damn poker machines out there - ha ha.
Horrible weather here in Terrigal - I am sick to death of the rain.
Even the ducks have had enough!
    Cheers and beers!!!
I love the Visit Tassie ads here on TV.
Of course not seen down there.
The one with the home and two virtually overblown trees
and the wombat wandering around are great as is the one
of the bloke contemplating weather to strip and dive into the
sea and freeze - he does - ha ha. Great ad. for Tassie.
Cheers and no pub for me today!!!

    1. Doesn't seem like an Australian pub if it doesn't have a balcony, Colin.
I don't believe I've seen that ad, but then that is expected seeing I live here, will see if it's on YouTube.
Gosh it's rained a lot up your way this season, hope it soon stops then showers occasionally to keep the ground moist.
Beautiful weather here, sunny and sunny, but it's still a bit nippy.

    1. Thank you Veronica. I can never seem to get a photo of the canal, the bridge goes over it and there is always a car behind, so can't stop.
