Not far from Marrawah is this beach and the windfarm is at Bluff Point near Woolnorth a cattle farm.

    1. Thank you. The bridge would be about 200 to 250 meters long, just a guess as can't find it on the internet.

    1. It does roar Duta mostly up the north west coast where there is a path or road to the sea, such a wonderful sound. Sometimes I think a map helps a you say.

    1. It's very different as most coasts are, certainly worth the visit every now and then.

  5. It looks very wild and an excellent place for a wind farm, although some would argue the farm spoils the view.

    1. Yes Andrew, a good place for a windfarm, not many people in that area and in fact no one is permitted there as it's part of Woolnorth the dairy owned by the Chinese.

    1. It's a long way to go in some peoples eyes to see these views, but some do.

  7. Very fierce looking sea - sure would have those windfarms working overtime.
They are a necessity of life these days and being out to sea - surely nobody
    or political mob can complain?????
Love that TV promotion of "Come down to Tassie for the winter and enjoy the FREEZE !"
Strange how the thought of coffee can make the fellow race into what looks like
    freezing water.
Froze here - well my version of freezing yesterday but lovely and sunny
today - I doubt if it is surfing weather but the iceberg mob do venture out!!!
    Cheers

    1. The sea has a mighty roar there and many other places along the west coast Colin. No one complains about the windfarm as it's on the Woolnorth property owned by the Chinese and no one is permitted into there.
It's not that cold down here where I am, it's just the though of it!
Don't understand those that go swimming down Hobart way on the shortest day naked.

    1. It's good to hear it. I remember when I was about 12 I used to stay in Strahan, and I could hear the sea roar from Ocean Beach. Could sit for hours watching and listening to those waves there in the photo, R.

  10. Is the sea mainly flat, or do surfers find themselves at home there in some seasons? Only in the top photo does the sea seem very rough.

    1. Surfing is done near Marrawah, mentioned in the 3rd photo, no surfing in the 1st photo due to rock, so where it's reasonably safe they do surf the big waves when they happen, Hels. I've seen the sea flatter at times but of course it's known for it's ruggedness.

  12. En la primera fotografía, se ve el mar alborotado, de ahí su intenso sonido.

    1. Really about the wind turbine! Here people don't care to look at them, plus the humming noise they make annoy the people apparently.
