A good place to eat.

We have frequented Villarett Gardens many times over the last several years for lunch.  It's in the Kimberley area behind Elizabeth Town in the northern area of Tasmania.  It's about 71km a 51 minute drive from home here.  Years ago the restaurant which is still licensed was attached to the house then a new restaurant was built a short walk up the hill on the property of 10 acres..   Many wedding receptions are held there and my hairdresser had hers there.

The gardens are beautifully manicured and certainly worth a walk through them.  These days the restaurant is only open from Friday at 10.30 am to 16.00 hours.  It was open for much longer but as the owners are older they have made the days and hours of opening much shorter.

Just and idea of the sweets provided on the menu.

    1. Always it's green when there or just passing by as it's a different way to go to another city if you have the time.

  5. Villarett Gardens sounds like a charming spot nestled in the Kimberley area of Tasmania. The evolution of the restaurant from its original attachment to the house to a new building on the property reflects its growth and adaptability over the years. It's heartwarming to hear about the many wedding receptions held there, showcasing its role as a picturesque venue for special occasions.

    1. Thank you Laura re header. Menu is a nice one, plenty to choose from but not too much as sometimes too many things on the menu can detract from the restaurant and have a negative effect.
