Home made Pizza

Once and not that long ago I didn't care for Pizzas but I would eat a few pieces when my husband decided he would like one or two.  I thought to myself, why can't I make my own so I did.  Made the base and went from there.  The dough I cut into 3 pieces and freeze two for when we decided to have a pizza and I much prefer my own made ones.
We cook them in the Webber Barbecue on the Pizza stone.
Yes, sometimes we put pineapple on them, yes, I know it's not done in many places in this world but it's done at our house.
Just showing some of the pizzas I've made, all different and one is a seafood one, also some just before they went into the Webber barbecue.

My husband at present has pneumonia with a high temperature.  We spent from 8pm till 4am in the Emergency at the Hospital on Sunday/Monday evening/morning.  Three lots of Antiboitics all different drips/drugs whilst there, blood tests, chest xray and a CT Scan which the latter proved the diagnonis.  So now I am looking after him, more than usual, and to his own Doctor on Friday.
These photos were taken with my phone.

  2. First of all I hope your husband has a speedy recovery.
Those pizzas are loaded with toppings. They look delicious.
Pizza with pineapple - the Hawaiian pizza - I really don't like! Never had one with seafood. It's about time I try one of those.

    1. Thank you re husband, he's about the same, sat outside for a little while today.
Yes, a Hawaiian pizza I guess and I like plenty of toppings/food on top.
Seafood is nice with the right sauces underneath.

  3. Oh no! I hope the medicine works soon! Delicious looking pizzas. How do you make the base? I can't get ready-made pizza anywhere that I can eat. The pizza makers here don't know how to make dairy-free pizza.

    1. Thanks re my husband, his temperature is coming down so that's good news.
Base of the pizza, I make a bread dough but let it rise only the once.
This is the link to the recipe and the flour I use but you can use what we call 'plain flour' which is 'all purpose flour.

  7. They all look delicious and loaded. I'll have a slice of the pineapple one please. I've made my own several times but not recently, it's easier to buy a frozen cheese pizza and just add extra toppings.

I hope your husband recovers quickly, pneumonia is not fun, I know I had it in November, also had to have two courses of antibiotics before it went away.

  10. Ah--- you have discovered the secret of a happy life! Making your own pizza. While I might not choose the same toppings, I would defend to the death your right to choose. On a more serious note, take care of your husband. That stuff is dangerous! Hugs from Bill

  18. I believe pizza is good for pneumonia :)

There are only two problems with pizza in this house.
The first is a thick base that damages the teeth and makes the pizza taste bland. The base is there only to hold up all the goodies.
The second is, if we don't eat meat at all, the goodies on top have to be very tasty and very thickly ladled on. Happily anchovies, olives, tasty cheese etc are very tasty,

    1. Oh Hels re good for pneumonia..lol. If only he felt more like eating one, he says probably Tuesday.
Understand the pizza base - I make mine not too thick, they hold the toppings well and are not too hard to bite.
Lots of toppings that I can think of that would be suitable (no meat) and tasty.
