The sea

Some photos that I forgot to post back in mid spring taken on one of our drives.
These photos were taken at a rest area near Wynyard along the north west coast of the Island.  We bought lunch and sat on this seat, watched the little yachts doing their races, we looked towards Tablecape where the Tulips are grown.
The sea is Bass Strait.

  4. I get moved by the colors; the blue of the sky and water, the white of the yachts, the yellow of the sand, the dark brown of the rocks, the green of the grass. The little bench adds a certain charm to the place.

  8. Not a bad life is it, picnicking and sipping wine in the sun, watching the yachts sail past? After I retired, I imagined that sort of life.

    It hasn't happened yet.

    1. Oh Hels, we are fortunate to live not too far from the sea on the Island, in the middle of Tasmania apparently it's only 250 km any way to the sea.
Hope you get the chance to have your dream.

  12. You post reminded me of something I had totally forgotten about. We used to have a small sailboat growing up. A Sunflower. You post took me back to the days on the lake in the summer when I was a kid sailing that boat gave me freedom.

    1. It would be good to have the definate 4 season which we also have to a degree, winter is different here, it's cold and hardly snows on the mountains and if it does, it's gone quickly.
