Senseless

Was driving down the Connector Road which connects Hobart Road to the Bass Highway (to Hobart)  and came across this vehicles, couldn't believe my eyes.
This area is where a few people who are selling their cars park them for others to see and a phone number written with big letters inside the vehicle if anyone is interested along with the price they are asking.
Had the phone in my hand so took a few shots as we drove past.  Don't know how the vehicle was torched but the one in front of it was ok.

  1. Oh my goodness, I hope the people got out okay. On our last roadtrip we came across a vehicle on fire but fortunately everyone was out of it and no one was hurt. We had just come over a mountain pass and several cars were overheated and stopped at the roadside.

    1. I'm sure no one was in that car. That would not have been a pleasant thing to see for you or the people either, sad. Gosh, that's not good if those cars had to stop and cool down, must have been very hot Denise.

  3. Very sad to see and definitely unnecessary and senseless.

  4. Perhaps people leave it there to become aware of the dangers that can occur when driving on the roads.

    1. The vehicle was gone the next day Norma, we had to go that way and all the mess was cleaned up.

  5. These cars had probably been involved in accidents, and or thefts. It's a police matter.

    1. Yes it certainly was a Police matter Duta. Could have been a stolen vehicle or someone wasn't happy with the owner of the car. Have no idea.

  9. I think here people would just remove what they wanted from the cars and not bother with the shell.

    1. It's a wonder that doesn't happen here Andrew, but we often see cars there for sale and in other places too but the cars are often taken home at night and placed in the same place in the mornings.

    1. Irma I don't believe there was anyone in it, it was parked there to be sold, someone came along and burnt it...sad and senseless.

  11. As you say, it was "torched" No doubt some moron thought it would be fun. A long time ago I parked my car in a lighted gas station parking lot (with the permission and knowledge of the attendant) while a friend and I were camping in his rig. When we returned two days later, the car had been trashed totally--- even to the extent that people had jumped up and down on it to literally crush it. No reason for it-- just vandalism. I imagine this burning was just as aimless.

    1. Oh my goodness Bill, that was awful and I bet you felt dreadful for what had happened to your rig, such a stupid act by those people to ruin everything at that time.
Yes it was torched by morons.

  12. I guess this was a car that was for sale? Maybe that practice will slow down or stop now? Sad!

  13. Triste si fue por venganza. Aún así no gusta verlos. Lo que si gusta ver es la acacia de tu cabecera. Es preciosa.

  14. Well, that is crazy. Hopefully it was just a freak accident and not someone setting it on fire intentionally.

    1. I reckon it was someone who set it on fire, Unfortunately there are some not so nice people in this world.

      Know one was hurt.

That wasn't very nice to have had their car scratched, we wonder why people have to do that, it's just plain right vanderlism.

    1. It is a good idea as these people who do this are trying to get more for their vehicle by parking them where they do, it's unfortunate the one shown in the picture got burnt.

  26. Impressive, these vehicles are completely destroyed, it does not seem that there is anything that can be used!
It really makes no sense to put these cars there.
