Was driving down the Connector Road which connects Hobart Road to the Bass Highway (to Hobart) and came across this vehicles, couldn't believe my eyes.
This area is where a few people who are selling their cars park them for others to see and a phone number written with big letters inside the vehicle if anyone is interested along with the price they are asking.
Had the phone in my hand so took a few shots as we drove past. Don't know how the vehicle was torched but the one in front of it was ok.
Oh my goodness, I hope the people got out okay. On our last roadtrip we came across a vehicle on fire but fortunately everyone was out of it and no one was hurt. We had just come over a mountain pass and several cars were overheated and stopped at the roadside.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure no one was in that car. That would not have been a pleasant thing to see for you or the people either, sad. Gosh, that's not good if those cars had to stop and cool down, must have been very hot Denise.
DeleteIt seems to me there aren't any parts that can be reused.
ReplyDeleteThat's for sure Catarina.
DeleteVery sad to see and definitely unnecessary and senseless.
ReplyDeleteCertainly Bill, agree with you totally.
DeletePerhaps people leave it there to become aware of the dangers that can occur when driving on the roads.
ReplyDeleteThe vehicle was gone the next day Norma, we had to go that way and all the mess was cleaned up.
DeleteHope that nobody got hurt...
ReplyDeleteDidn't hear anything Angie, it was burnt in the night.
DeleteThese cars had probably been involved in accidents, and or thefts. It's a police matter.
ReplyDeleteYes it certainly was a Police matter Duta. Could have been a stolen vehicle or someone wasn't happy with the owner of the car. Have no idea.
DeleteSad to see this, I just hope nobody was hurt.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Never heard anything Jan and yes, it's sad to see.
DeleteThe things we see when driving, sometimes we wonder how and why a car has been burnt out
ReplyDeleteYou are correct Jo-Anne, we do wonder.
DeleteImagine what goes on at night!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter where we live all kind of things happen at night.
DeleteI think here people would just remove what they wanted from the cars and not bother with the shell.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonder that doesn't happen here Andrew, but we often see cars there for sale and in other places too but the cars are often taken home at night and placed in the same place in the mornings.
DeleteHow awful. And such a senseless waste.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is senseless EC.
DeleteStolen - more than likely !
ReplyDeleteColin
Have no idea Colin.
DeleteI hope the people who were in it got out okay.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Irma
Irma I don't believe there was anyone in it, it was parked there to be sold, someone came along and burnt it...sad and senseless.
DeleteAs you say, it was "torched" No doubt some moron thought it would be fun. A long time ago I parked my car in a lighted gas station parking lot (with the permission and knowledge of the attendant) while a friend and I were camping in his rig. When we returned two days later, the car had been trashed totally--- even to the extent that people had jumped up and down on it to literally crush it. No reason for it-- just vandalism. I imagine this burning was just as aimless.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Bill, that was awful and I bet you felt dreadful for what had happened to your rig, such a stupid act by those people to ruin everything at that time.
DeleteYes it was torched by morons.
I guess this was a car that was for sale? Maybe that practice will slow down or stop now? Sad!
ReplyDeletehugs
Donna
Yes it was for sale Donna. Haven't seen any other vehicles there for sale at the same place for ages now, maybe some people will put cars there again soon.
DeleteMaybe someone was acting out on a grudge.
ReplyDeleteThat is what we both thought and it's probably correct.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
Sensless if revenge as we believe it to be that.
DeleteThanks regarding my header of the Australian Wattle.
Well, that is crazy. Hopefully it was just a freak accident and not someone setting it on fire intentionally.
ReplyDeleteI reckon it was someone who set it on fire, Unfortunately there are some not so nice people in this world.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo
Strange and not what a normal person would do.
DeleteOh this is scary sight indeed
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with passengers amen
Hugs and blessings
Not nice to see at all Baili, often when we travelled in other States of Australia we would see this type of thing in the bush once in a while.
DeleteKnow one was hurt.
Scary vision. I hope that nobody got hurt.
ReplyDeleteIt is scary to see that all of a sudden coming down the road. No, no one was hurt.
DeleteMy goodness! There is so much of this going around lately....far too much!
ReplyDeleteSo I believe Lee, heard about different places in Australia where this happens.
DeleteUnas imagenes tremendas, que impactan...
ReplyDeleteUn saludo, amiga
Not good to see Ildefonso.
Not a good thing to see, the car was removed rather quickly as it was gone the next day and no one was hurt thankfully.
DeleteThis is awful. If the fire had leaped across the field by the strong wind, neighbors would have seized with fear.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't have been good at all especially if on a hot summers day.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed Stefania, makes no sense.
Abrazos. También me gusta tu encabezado.
ReplyDeleteThanks regarding the header.
DeleteThat wasn't very nice to have had their car scratched, we wonder why people have to do that, it's just plain right vanderlism.
Wow....that car is horrible. I can't imagine what happened and hope whomever was it it got out safely.
ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
I'm sure they did get out safely Sandy, it was probably torched as we say down here.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good idea as these people who do this are trying to get more for their vehicle by parking them where they do, it's unfortunate the one shown in the picture got burnt.
DeleteImpressive, these vehicles are completely destroyed, it does not seem that there is anything that can be used!
ReplyDeleteIt really makes no sense to put these cars there.
