Onwards to Derwent Bridge

Continuing on holiday in March 2020 we were headed to Queenstown, on the way we stopped for a short rest and walk around after going around bends, plenty of them with beautiful views.

The first photo is of a barbecue area by a river, then onto Derwent Bridge a very small town with a Hotel and some artwork done in wood which we visited the time before (no photos permitted there), a petrol bowser along with a restaurant where we had lunch with Cabins next door as in photo of one of them.
Continuing we stopped again to have a good look at the view, the last of these photos you can see the Frenchmans Cap which is the 3rd highest mountain in Tasmania at 1,446 meters above sea level.

  1. Nice view of the Frenchmans Cap. Looks like a pay phone beside the cafe sign.
    Have a great day!

    1. It is a payphone something you don't see very often these days.
      Thanks.

  4. We were told about the wooden sculptures but we didn't really have time to stop. I would have been disappointed about not being able to take photos.

    1. Certainly worth a visit, there is a restaurant there to have coffee.
Someone phoned me whilst we were in looking at the sculptures and I was told to get off the phone, they must have thought I was taking photos with phone to my ear!

    1. Don't really know why no photos in that sculpture place called 'The Wall', (you can see it on the internet)just guessing if you take photos they would go on the internet then maybe people wouldn't bother to go and see for themselves when the place is in the middle of nowhere.
https://thewalltasmania.com.au/ that's the link, when you get there just scroll down a bit and you will see.

  7. Tassie has so many beautiful places, and I will have to refer back to your blog when we visit there again. Thanks for taking me on your trip as I realise there is a lot more to see than we have seen in our 2 trips there.
