Scenery in March in Tasmania.

After Gretna we headed to Tarraleah in Highlands of Tasmania - more on Tarraleah a Hydro Town next post.
This is some of the scenery along the way taken from the vehicle as we moved along.

The map shows in red the area of Tarraleah, the road where it says Ouse, somewhere around that area along the highway these photos were taken.

    1. The rolling hills that go down to the sea - expect in this area there is no sea :)

    1. Thanks Bill.
Yes, moving along at normal speed window down and aim, it is amazing that the photos come out rather clear, just the foreground is blurred mostly.

  5. It really is quite lovely and quite different from other regions of Australia.

    1. Very different from other places and areas in Australia, I think that is why people of Australia like Tasmania because it's different.

  7. Truly lovely. And how I admire your success of 'in the car' photography. Epic failure here.

    1. Thanks.
Often take photos out the side window with it down - one can't always stop when you want to take a photo - corners, narrow roads and so on.

  8. I am reminded that Australia is a very old land, with its hills very worn down and rounded.

    1. That's true Andrew, it's rather pretty and being March when we were passing through it's amazing how green it was after summer.

  9. Certainly good looking countryside. The sheep and cattle would be in food heaven by the looks of your excellent photography.
Seems pretty well in the centre of Tasmania???
    Cheers

PS: Please stop sending your Tassie cold weather up here. I feel like
I am in Antarctica with the damn penguins - ha ha.

    1. You have a few southerly's then Colin?
Lovely along that way, hilly at times but most of the land is cleared to a degree, and it makes me think of the old timers taking down the trees to farm the land.
Nearly in the middle of Tasmania, not quite.
