This young women is a big hit in her country of Germany but does sing in English at times...a magnificent voice indeed, so I wish to share this video with those that would like to listen and watch it..
Helene was given a beautiful voice and she uses it well..
The song in this video is Hallelujah.
Below photo was taken at Bridport on the north east coast of Tasmania late summer.
The orange on the rocks is lichen which goes from Mount William National Park (the northern end) to the Bay of Fires about midway down the east coast of Tasmania.
I find the lichens in the rocks enchantingly beautiful - the singer not so much!
ReplyDeleteI like her rendition of Hallelujah which was composed by the great Canadian singer and composer Leonard Cohen.
DeleteI have never seen rocks like that. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see a pic of them. :)
Hopefully you will get to see the lichen on the rocks in the future.
DeleteCatarina, it is lovely how she sings it.
DeleteLeonard Cohen was a wonderful composer and mostly I like his lyrics and melody's.
The music is not for me - though she does have a beautiful voice.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the lichen though.
Nature with the lichen, will post more photos later in the year.
DeleteShe is very pretty
ReplyDeleteShe is Adam and very clever in many ways.
DeleteMe gusta mucho la música. Esta chica tiene muy buena voz y mucha sensibilidad interpretando.
ReplyDeleteSon muy interesantes las rocas que had capturado.
Besos
Helene does sing well with great feeling, have found this by listening to some of her other songs.
DeleteLooks a bit like Marilyn Monroe attire when she sang that "Famous" Happy
ReplyDeleteBirthday Mr. President to JFK.
I don't think Jackie was over amused - ha ha.
Interesting rock colour - may be highlighted by the David Attenborough show on Sunday night.
I think the Cat Woman attire may be attributed to Ashleigh Barty's loss - ha ha!
Cheers
Colin
Helene is certainly not like Marilyn, well not in my book anyway in looks and singing..
DeleteLooking forward to David Attenborough should imagine the photography will be something to die for..
Such a beautiful song and an equally beautiful version. I adore k.d. lang singing this wonderful song, and was playing it only a couple of days ago.
ReplyDeleteThe song certainly stirs one's emotion as so many others of Leonard Cohen's do.
Wonderful colours in those rocks.
Marvellous was Leonard Cohen, and you are correct regarding his songs.
DeleteI like K.D Lang singing it also and that was sung at a funeral I went to last week, very emotional.
The orange rocks are beautiful!! There are many things in Australia which are not available anywhere in the world!
ReplyDeleteSo very true, must post some more photos of the orange rocks later in the year.
DeleteVery nice indeed and good to bring the choir in part way through. Did you read Cro's post about the red lichen on his urn?
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't read that, must look for it.
DeleteHelene sings to me beautifully, her voice is not for everyone though but she fills a stadium in her country.
I do love the boulders. The colours.
ReplyDeleteThey are certainly different..
DeleteSo very true, must post some more photos of the orange rocks later in the year.winwin football
ReplyDeleteYes I will.
DeleteImagine the setting sun lighting up that lichen, the rocks would be 'on fire'
ReplyDeleteWould be amazing, never seen the sunset on them yet, they are in the east and I'm not aware of any being in the west, just take special note next time I visit that area..
DeleteHello Margaret,
ReplyDeleteNice video of this singer.
The shot of the rocks along the Tasmania coast is so nice.
Wonderful.
Kind regards,
Marco
Those rocks look good against the white sand..
DeleteA lovely video ...
ReplyDeleteLove the colour of that lichen, so unusual.
Happy June Wishes.
