Carousel at Bathurst, NSW

Was a busy late afternoon in Bathurst when we came across lots of people in a certain area, as luck had it my husband found a parking place a few steps away from a Carousel, so out I popped to take a video and some photos of this area.

Video goes for 10 seconds.

Bathurst was established in 1815 with the discovery of gold.

The above photo is the Court House opened in 1880.

The Royal Hotel now apartments.

  1. Ese carrusel antiguo es una preciosidad. De vez en cuando veo alguno parecido cuando visito el Mercado Medieval de alguna ciudad que visito.

    1. Carousals are not seen here often in Tasmania where I live so it was good to see one on your travels.

  2. That's a wonderful little carousel! The town reminds me of many smaller towns here back a few decades. Great post.

  8. Apartments is a good use for old hotels, better than letting it gently decay and disappear. The carousel is lovely.

  11. So people prefered to live where they can find lots of gold ,comes in mind the oldest civilizations that started living near water banks.

court house and royal hotel are magnificent places to look at!
