Geraldton WA. HMAS Sydney 11 Memorial.

The HMAS Sydney ll Memorial is for me a place that touches my heart, it's beautifully done. A Memorial honouring 645 Australian sailors who were lost off the Western Australian coast during a World War ll battle.  This memorial is one of the loveliest I have seen.

    1. Thanks. Makes me wonder how many women way back then in any country looked for their sons to come home from war!

  2. We were tragically unable to visit the memorial during our WA trip in 2012 - but it's WAY high on the agenda for next time, along with more time to explore the whole Geraldton Region. Especially now I've seen your wonderful photos!! Have a great week!!
