Rollers

Always use a hair straightener for my hair having had bob haircut, but I am growing my hair and I decided to put same in those Velcro Rollers for a change for something different. My hair is now shoulder length but different lengths eventually will be all same length.
Used to have heaps of different size rollers once that I used when I had long hair before, which has been many times.

My grandmother on my mums side always had long hair and I can remember that I wanted to have same when I got older.  Funny that, for I have this need to grow my hair and wear it up.
If I left my hair alone it would be curly, too curly.

You know I used to IRON my hair once when it was long, got the tea towel out put my hair on the ironing board, tea towel on top of hair and ironed it straight :)
It's always the way, if you have curly hair you want straight hair and visa versa!

  1. snap. i used to iron my hair many years ago when i was a teenager too. it worked brilliantly. it's gotten curlier as i get older and i've always kept it fairly short. i hate it. i can't use those rollers. i got one stuck in my daughter's hair when she was little. i don't think she's forgiven me yet. i like your hair in your profile pic. you must take a follow up photo. i wonder if i should let mine grow a little. it grows out not down. too fine. i like your colour too.

      Thanks re my profile 'hair'.
Nice for a change if you grew your hair...you could buy a straighter, least they have those things these days, and I also have very fine hair.

  2. Oh I remember I had very straight hair. My Aunt was a hairdresser and she would put curls in my hair with big rollers. She was always so excited at her great accomplishment. Within hours of all that work it was again flat. My hair has a mind of her own. Even the "TONI" perms she put in would not take.
I knew you liked ironing but I never thought you liked it that much:)
Take care my friend.Nice Memories in this post. G

  4. I have a set of these - love them! It is kind of ironic to think you have to grow your hair to wear it up - I love that look and I predict it will all have been worth it in the end.

  6. Everyone, well almost put their hair in rollers years ago, it was to make the hair curly or put curly hair in it's place. Takes a knack to do it, and long time to dry.
