Down by the Docks in Sydney

This series of photos was taken when eldest son, his wife and children visited Sydney about 2 years ago.  I thought it's a good idea to post photos of the Dock area.  As you can see it's a cloudy day, the photos were dark so I had to lighten them a little.  There isn't a photo of Sydney Harbour Bridge - how amazing is that!  Everyone always puts a photo of the bridge, expect me.
Plenty of places to eat in this area.

  4. The small yachts look beautiful. I would love to live near the docks, then get on board the yacht in good weather and sail away in peace

  5. Good pictures. It is a beautiful city from what I can see. A cousin of mine lives in that city and is always asking us when we are going to visit with them. A 22+ hour flight doesn't appeal to me. : )

    1. Well it is a long way Catarina. One day you might feel like flying all the way, certainly would be worth it in the end, it's just the thought of it.

  6. I remember the botanical gardens close by more than the bridge, although I do have photographs of it.

    1. You were more interested in the botanical side of Australia, David...more to see and explore at the gardens.

  10. I can see the IMax theatre but nothing else looks familiar to me. It seems like part of Darling Harbour.

    1. Perhaps Bill. They are moody photos to me, we are so used to seeing the bridge, we don't often have photos of the surrounds.

  26. That's a lovely collection of photos! The Dock area looks like a beautiful spot, and I love the variety of things to do and see. My son lives in Sydney. When we came there in 2019, we didn't go to Dock area. Next time, we'll try to make it to this place. Thanks for sharing.
