This series of photos was taken when eldest son, his wife and children visited Sydney about 2 years ago. I thought it's a good idea to post photos of the Dock area. As you can see it's a cloudy day, the photos were dark so I had to lighten them a little. There isn't a photo of Sydney Harbour Bridge - how amazing is that! Everyone always puts a photo of the bridge, expect me.
Plenty of places to eat in this area.
Wonderful pictures. My brother lives in Sydney
ReplyDeleteThank you. Well I suppose you visit him or maybe he visits you and your family.
DeleteOur world is so similar all over and it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe do live i a big world Sandi, yet it' rather small most of the time.
DeleteGreat boats.
ReplyDeleteThey are Anne.
DeleteMargaret, sometime, surely, I'll pass through there.
ReplyDeleteOne day you might Norma.
DeleteThe small yachts look beautiful. I would love to live near the docks, then get on board the yacht in good weather and sail away in peace
ReplyDeleteOh Hels, that sounds ideal.
DeleteGood pictures. It is a beautiful city from what I can see. A cousin of mine lives in that city and is always asking us when we are going to visit with them. A 22+ hour flight doesn't appeal to me. : )
ReplyDeleteWell it is a long way Catarina. One day you might feel like flying all the way, certainly would be worth it in the end, it's just the thought of it.
DeleteI remember the botanical gardens close by more than the bridge, although I do have photographs of it.
ReplyDeleteYou were more interested in the botanical side of Australia, David...more to see and explore at the gardens.
DeleteGreat photos of the dock and the city.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill.
DeleteDock areas always fascinate me. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteA lot of work goes on at the docks EC.
DeleteI know what the bridge looks like, these photos of the docks are bloody great and not the type I have seen before
ReplyDeleteI believe most people know what that bridge looks like Jo-Anne, so it's good to see something different in Sydney.
DeleteThe dock are great in that cloudy day...The vibes looks so grey but romantic. Thanks for beautiful photos. Greetings
ReplyDeleteOh thanks you - you are sweet.
DeleteA misty looking quay right there!
ReplyDeleteSure is, very different from the usual photos of the docks, everyday brings something new in the weather.
DeleteI can see the IMax theatre but nothing else looks familiar to me. It seems like part of Darling Harbour.
ReplyDeleteCould be part of Darling Harbour, they walk for miles when they go over there.
DeleteGreat restaurants down there BUT the cost - you need to have Murdock's money.
ReplyDeleteColin
Oh do you need a lot of money to eat there! They ate there somewhere Colin.
DeleteQuerida amiga, preciosas fotografías del muelle, en las ultimas se ve como niebla, que le da un toque de nostalgias y misterios, me encanto.
ReplyDeleteAbrazos y besos , que tengas un precioso día
Thank you. Love fog for the mystery of it, one wonders, what lies beyond.
DeleteLindos muebles. Tu ciudad es muy linda. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you JP.
DeleteThough very cloudy, it's still very beautiful and charming.
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe so too, it's something different, Angie..
DeleteBeautiful photos. It's been 14 years since I visited Sydney and took a ferry ride around the harbour.
ReplyDeleteThanks R. I reckon it's been longer since we went to Sydney as well. Then two years in a row but we didn't do shopping.
DeleteBeautiful pictures of the dock and the city.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cloudy sky too.
Greetings Irma
Thank You Irma. Moody day there that day.
DeleteI think I'm about #180 on this grouping of people who enjoyed this post. Perfect images that make me want to be there--- perhaps in my next life.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Bill. They are moody photos to me, we are so used to seeing the bridge, we don't often have photos of the surrounds.
DeleteGreat docks of
ReplyDeleteSydney, what's
the temperature
here now? .
Just looked at the temperature for Sydney and it's 25DEG C.

ReplyDeleteI like a docklands against a cloudy sky
I thought rather moody and gives a different vibe.

It is a lovely city Jose, we have been there a few times but only travelling through, though we did stop and look around.

ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Stefania, I'm lucky eldest son shared them with me.

ReplyDeleteI hope the week ahead will be a good one for you.
We are now in Autumn and you must be in Spring.

Thank you Jan. Yes, it's spring here and windy with a chilly wind which will come right soon, hopefully.

ReplyDeleteThank you Teresa.
DeleteThat's a lovely collection of photos! The Dock area looks like a beautiful spot, and I love the variety of things to do and see. My son lives in Sydney. When we came there in 2019, we didn't go to Dock area. Next time, we'll try to make it to this place. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome.
DeleteInteresting your son lives in the Sydney area.

DeleteI love marinas and ports, could walk around them all day looking at the different boats dreaming about what it would be like to own one of them.
ReplyDeleteAlways good thinking on that. We often used to walk around marinas as well.
Deletegood job to lighten them up dear Margaret
ReplyDeleteharbour bridge appeared in some indian movies as well ,very famous indeed
They were far too dark Baili, hard to see what was in the photographic correctly. Yes, the Harbour Bridge is famous.
