Near Port Arthur way down south partly on the Eastern side of the Island of Tasmania is Maingon Lookout. Just a beautiful view and the sea is wonderful, the colour amazing, looking towards those ruggered cliffs so tall where the seals sunbake in the sun and so on.
One can walk to the Maingon Blowhole but the path was closed.
Beautiful views indeed. My favourite is the first one.
ReplyDeleteMine too, the colour of the sea was just beautiful, had to see it in person to believe it.
DeleteMargaret regularly read what you tell us about the landscapes of your Tasmania. I always had a desire to know Australia since that time in the 70s when many Argentines emigrated to that continent, which they say is very similar to our soil and climate since 180 million years ago Australia was united to South America.
ReplyDeleteYes South America was attached to Australia way back and certainly would have similarities in some areas of both countries as New Zealand has. Sometimes we get curious about these things.
DeleteOne day you might get to Australia.
Views I am so familiar with on another continent... : )
ReplyDeleteThat's true Catarina.
DeleteThis looks like a beautiful place with a nice view.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Irma
Gorgeous there Irma, what made it so pleasant was the great weather on that day.

DeleteThat is a great looking bay with coastal rocks
ReplyDeleteIt sure is, good photo opportunities to be taken down that way too.
DeleteThat was one crackingly good day. The sea is a little darker blue than the Mediterranean but a very good imitation. What a wonderful place to visit.
ReplyDeleteExcellent day that one, not a breath of wind. So pleased we went there as have never been there before. Certainly worth the trip.
DeleteLos paisajes se ven preciosos, me encantan. Un abrazo Margaret.

DeleteMagnificent scenery and weather but I wonder what it would look like
ReplyDeletewith "The Roaring Forties" at full strength? Not so placid, eh?
Cheers
Colin .
Blow the dog off the chain in the gale fore winds Colin, would be sight to see and photograph if one could stand still with the camera.
DeleteWonderful--- I would love to be there, just for the weekend. By the way, 8 locomotives in front and 3 trailing-- and the route is flat. They were probably delivering some engines someplace for maintenance-- with a 2 man crew!
ReplyDeleteOh, ok thanks for reply.
DeleteThe view is nothing short of magnificent,
ReplyDeleteTo see it is to believe it David.

ReplyDeleteI doubt it Pauline. One could go back there hopefully in good weather to find the walking track still closed after making phone calls to find if it was open again..
