Well it's springtime down this end of the world.
There has been a bit of rain upstream from Evandale, well a lot of rain and the water flows into the South Esk River near Evandale, Tasmania, Australia. Also near Evandale is the Launceston Airport. I have a best friend living in Evandale so after visiting her we went to the river to find the road closed.
It's a good place for a picnic and a swim but no loos. People take their dogs for walks along the river bank, no camping permitted either.
Fazia muito falta esta chuva por aqui.
ReplyDeleteGostei de ver estas belas fotografias.
Um abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

Didn't get the rain where we live and it's dry over your way I heard..
DeleteI've read somewhere that Tasmania has the purest air and the purest water. Great!
ReplyDeleteThat's very true Duta.
DeleteIf you're heading into Spring that means we're heading into Fall!! Yeah! Can't wait to get out of these awful three digit numbers!!
ReplyDeleteStay safe down there with all those rains!

Yes it's now spring, with spring showers on the first day...beautiful today.
DeleteAround here, almost at the end of the world, on September 21 spring begins. It is then that days alternate with rain, sun, cold... this causes the plants to sprout.
ReplyDeleteBesos Margarita
You have a bit of time to wait then for spring and on September 1, it was the beginning of our spring...take care. It's great to see all the new growth in the garden and trees begin after winter.
DeleteMe gusta mucho la luz en tus fotografías. Son prodigiosos esos cielos nublados.
ReplyDeleteQue tengas un buen fin de semana. Besos.
Thank you.. Clouds sometimes make a more interesting photo.
DeleteAutumn is about to arrive over here, and we also got a little bit of rain, which is good, as it has been really dry.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, it's so good to have rain after a very dry spell as long as the rain stops and doesn't do any flood damage Angie.
DeleteGorgeous shots. We have had one of our wettest Augusts ever.
ReplyDeleteOh really, must have rained a lot then EC, not much rain in our area but in others hence the river has overflowed.
DeleteAt least the flooding was not bad in Evandale - I have just been watching the dreadful floods in Pakistan where a third of the country is now under water. Climate change has definitely arrived. Here we are desparate for rain, our ground is baked dry - it is desperate for some moisture.
ReplyDeleteOne can take a bit of water that's in the river in Evandale but Pakistan, well that is another story, just heartbreaking. Hope you get rain soon Rosemary as long as it knows when to stop.
DeleteIt's raining here at present...predicted to cease during the afternoon. Have an enjoyable weekend, Margaret...take good care. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lee, always we need rain but not too much!
DeleteNot good. Storms are happening for another wave in the east coast. There is just so much rain nowadays.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of rain especially on the east coast yet our east coast hasn't had a lot as yet.
DeleteBonitos paisajes. Que tengas un bonito fin de semana.
ReplyDeleteThanks Teresa.
DeleteI didn't notice that you had significant rain. Probably doesn't take much to flood there.
ReplyDeleteWe here in Launceston didn't have much rain but some places did have a fair bit nothing drastic but the water flows into that river.
DeleteThere are times when I really do wish I were there...
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice thing to say..
DeleteWonderful photos and beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteIt's still summer here and very warm and we haven't had any rain for months, shipping can carry much less, we have the lowest water level ever.
Greetings Irma
Oh my goodness Irma, flooding in Pakistan lives lost and a bit of rain here and your country must be in drought...sad.
DeleteIt looks like a real pretty area. Still a lot of rain in those skies looks like.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely area in Evandale and surrounding area...no rain for several days, so all is well Denise.
DeleteI think as well it is said that it is climate change but these images of flood rain over there, and around here extreme drought and talk about water restrictions.
ReplyDeleteBest regards.
Goodness, let's hope it rains in your country soon. We often have water restrictions of different levels throughout Australia.
DeleteIt seems that the whole world is best by either drought or floods. And still the world resists concrete action in the face of drastic climate change that is already here.
ReplyDeleteSo many countries need to address this, some of course are from what I've read and heard others have not.
DeleteDa voi è primavera e qui invece inizia l'autunno.
ReplyDeleteBello il posto per il pic nic
Opposite to us down under (means Australia). Lovely time is autumn.
DeleteEssa chuva deveria cair em Portugal. Aqui sofre-se com uma seca severa.
ReplyDeleteBonitas fotos

Oh my, drought is not good at all so hopefully it will rain for you all soon but know when to stop...thank you.
DeleteParece que no ha habido excesivos daños. Mientras una parte del mundo padece sequía , en otra hay inundaciones. Tan malo es una cosa, como la otra.
ReplyDeleteBesos.
You are correct in what you say, then there is fire another bad thing.
DeleteThe clouds in your photographs still look quite dark, there may be more rain to fall.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile here in the UK we are heading into Autumn, one of my favourite seasons.
All the best Jan
Autumn is a lovely season at the beginning of it, not so much at the end. The clouds do look rather dark but they all cleared and no rain for a few days.
DeleteThe clouds are beautiful leaving behave flooding, brilliant.
ReplyDeleteDark clouds that cleared during the day Bob.
DeleteSorry the road is closed. A lovely place for walks and picnics. We are also in the midst of rainy season.
ReplyDeleteOften rains more here in October but we wait and see.
DeleteStunning clouds indeed
ReplyDeleteHere after the long rainy spell rivers are flooded and many villages have been a evcucated
Oh Baili, so pleased you are ok, as we did here about the dreadful floods over your way - so sad.
DeleteFrom your photos we can see that it rained a lot there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place.
It did in the hills Maria.
