Odds and Ends

A few odds and ends of our holiday away in February and March this year, 2022 in Tasmania on the North West Coast at Devonport and Ulverstone.

This is a pathway all along what is called 'The Bluff', it goes for a long way, bikeriders use it as in families, walkers and dog lovers with their dogs always on a leash.

At Picnic Point, the above steps to one of the beaches, and part of the caravan park.  You see the post on the left, that is where you get your electricity and the tap is what you put your water hose to the caravan and each site has these.

Came across these flowers which were on a very big tree, there were several of them down by the sea.  Have no idea what the tree/s are called they did look lovely.

  3. The pink blossom looks like Hibiscus to me - it is a beautful tree originating in S. Africa.

    1. I expect it is related to the Hibiscus, it's a massive tall tree/s, the climate is a temperate one too.

    1. I could ring the council at Devonport and speak to someone who might know, but then probably no one will.

  8. Once again, Margaret, you reveal what an enchanted corner of the world you call home. I think the blossom is a species of Hibiscus.

  14. Love the Bluff pathway for walking. I wouldn't mind sharing the pathway with friendly dogs and their owners. Pretty flowers and the bees are attracted to the flowers.

  17. Aquí estoy de nuevo. El árbol se llama Lagunaria patersonia, es natural de Australia, endémica de Isla de Lord Howe, Isla Norfolk y parte de la costa de Queensland. De mi entrada del 26 de junio de 2022. Abrazos.

    1. Thanks you Teresa for telling me and the trouble you went to find out. Lord Howe Island and Queensland are some distance from Tasmania, Australia but there you go, it grows in a bit cooler climate... :)
