This was our view when we arrived at the Caravan Park from our caravan site. The tidal river called Mountain River which runs off the Huon River.
The Christmas tree for Santa to sit under and bring the children gifts, the sand which was carted to the side of the river, every one called it 'the beach'.
We missed Santa arriving this year as we went on our drive.
2nd photo was to the left of the caravan and the last photo is of a tent where people pay to stay for $AUD250.00 a night! It's called 'Glamping'. I certainly wouldn't pay that amount for a night to sleep in that tent, you have to supply your own food all that is in there is a jug/kettle, bed and pillows along with a cupboard.
the Christmas tree looks so cute
ReplyDeleteIt does and we were a bit disappointed to miss Santa.
DeleteGreat view!
ReplyDeleteYes Catarina.
DeleteGlamping costs that much??? Glamping with very basic facilities - not for me.
ReplyDeleteThe river and 'beach' look lovely though.
Oh yes that Glamping is expensive and not for me, would rather spend my money of a Hotel Room with service..
DeleteTampoco me resulta atrayente, pasar la noche en esa carpa. Mi preferencia sería estar en un hotel.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Same here, not my idea of a good night in a tent.
DeleteIsn't it just such a wonderful park. I can't see any air conditioner for the tent. Not for me.
ReplyDeleteNo no aircon - not for me, rather stay in a Hotel etc and be waited on. Just very basic inside is that tent.
DeleteWhat a view
ReplyDeleteGood view, was a great spot to be and probably we won't be able to get that spot again but you never know.
DeleteLovely scenery.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you...I wouldn't be paying that much a night to sleep in a tent, either! :)
It's ridiculous to spend that much money to stay in a tent.
DeleteA beautiful park. I too wouldn't pay for the tent.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing the tent had people in it every night whilst we were there - seems odd to me.
DeleteBuenas escenas, que despiden serenidad
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteWhat a nice view from your caravan site. It's not always possible to get such good views, but wonderful when you are lucky. When we get one like that we say we have got "pole position" as in car racing terms!! Glamping is not for me either.
ReplyDeleteNot it's not often you get a good spot like that - certainly pole position :)
DeleteI agree--- A hotel makes more sense for that kind of money. But it appears that you had a lovely spot.
ReplyDeleteGood spot it was. We might be lucky enough to get it again, who knows.
DeleteI think I'll pass on the tent at that ridiculous price.
ReplyDeleteI can't understand anyone paying that price, or even paying a price for the tent with those things mentioned included.
DeleteBonitas vistas. Tampoco me quedaría en la carpa. Besos Margaret.
ReplyDeleteSeems we all agree with you Teresa.
Deleteand a lovely view it is. We wne glamping a coupld of years ago. The place was having a discount on all of their cabins and tents. We got a cabin for a week for €150. Now their prices are ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteWell that was good you were able to get a discount - but cabins are getting expensive down here too.
DeleteI have heard of Glamping, but never experienced it.
ReplyDeleteIt seems a lot of money!
All the best Jan
Too much money in my book. I guess it's an experience.
