Mackay Botanic Gardens.

The opening of The Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens was in May 24, 2003 and much has been done to improve the gardens since then.

Continuing our holiday in 2018.  These gardens are in Queensland.

The first photo is one of the entrances.  Found it pleasant sitting on the seats provided throughout the gardens, it was a warm day in winter at 30 deg C.

Date palms and one of the walkways to the gardens plus the cafe which is not open early in the week.

A way to the gardens below

Along the way

A lagoon and some flowers

    1. We often visit such gardens when we travel if there is one, especially one with seats as my husband can't walk too far.

  4. Una temperatura con 30ºpor aquí, es bien propia de la estación de verano. Se ve un lugar agradable para pasear y contemplar sus bellas plantas.

    1. It's amazing how the temperature change for winter in different countries, then Mackay is in the tropics so one expects a warmer temperature in winter.

  7. I reckon there is a lot more water there now due to that cyclonic condition up north.
Really the TV coverage of the flooding is scary to view. One has to feel so sorry for the people affected, but why are they allowed by councils to build in areas subjected to flooding of any sort?

    1. Not good the floods Colin and us with bushfires, Australia indeed.
So many places in Australia where houses have been built with council approvals, and so many of them in flood areas - dreadful really.
