A photo from the other day when all the grass was removed. Wednesday the new grass arrived as below in rolls on the back of a trailer ready to be place in position.
You just roll it along and place together.
Eldest son on the left and one of his employees.
Nearly finished.
The caravan you see where it's parked on one of the driveways.
With the grass all in place neatly it is rolled and watered, cut after about 6 weeks.
Erlicheer buds, practising with my Canon in Manual mode
You can see where the first Erlicheer has come up on the left at the foot of the steps in the garden.
Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sussi.
Deletelooks much better
ReplyDeleteYes it does Adam.
DeleteAn instant lawn indeed.
ReplyDeleteYes David, just like that! :)
DeleteNice lawn-- nice neighborhood. I've always shot manual. I dislike auto making artistic decisions for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteManual is good, eyesight isn't the best to focus but I'm getting there..
New glasses coming in about 10 days.
Our neighbour had instant lawn laid. And I was fascinated.
ReplyDeleteHooray for early cheer - and your photo.
Thanks for the early-cheer :) Enjoyed taking that photo was a nice challenge for me.
DeleteThose that have instant lawn love it.
Great job!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have a son who knows how to do this type of work!
It is, but it's his profession, horticulturist and a landscape gardener, has degrees...so it's easy for him now.
DeleteIt looks beautiful. Laying sod is hard work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cynthia, it seems easy for the two that did it.
DeleteIt is just like laying a carpet.
ReplyDeleteIt is Rosemary but easier because the rolls are one length as in a meter then another meter so not much had to be cut off..
DeleteIn a couple of weeks it even might be ready for mowing.
ReplyDeleteLooks great.
Colin
6 weeks it will be Colin, not a good idea to mow before as mowing can pull roots out :)
DeleteGreat grass and very nice 'scenery'.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteIn no time at all, after some watering, out will come the mower. Good job, well done. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lee.
ReplyDeleteThe grass looks very nice, as does your home. I may think about some Earlicheer for my garden next year. But my track record with daffodils isn't great.
ReplyDeleteThanks River. My husband doesn't care for 'bulb's but I do and have managed to have a few in the garden :)
DeleteGood luck with your bulbs when they are available.
Boa tarde, a relva rapidamente vai pegar, assim o espeço ficou muito mais lindo.
ReplyDeletefeliz fim de semana,
AG
Won't be long and that grass with grow, but maybe it will take off in the springtime..
DeleteSe ha quedado todo perfecto. tiene muy buena vista.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Thank you.
