Had a couple of things go wrong on the holiday, leaking sink in the bathroom, and a flat tyre on the caravan the latter happening just two days before sailing.
Family of 5 are still in our house so things are rather cramped.
Took the photos with my phone below of the Port of Melbourne as we waited to board the ship.
Melbourne, Victoria.
The sand was very clean and silky.
A cruise ship and the red ship is the Spirit of Tasmania.
A few High Risers.
Driving onto the ship.
Part of the dinning room on board.
Beautiful photos and I am happy you are safely home. Look forward to hearing more about your trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mildred.
DeleteAmazing shots--- your phone? Wow! No matter how good the trip, it's very good to be home.
ReplyDeleteYes! the phone - amazing photos for a phone. Photos taken in motion also come out clear!
DeleteGreat to be home.
Welcome back Margaret - it is lovely to go away, but it is equally just as good to return home again.
ReplyDeleteThanks you Rosemary.
DeleteCertainly is equal on the home return.
Margaret nice to hear you are safely at home. I love high risers
ReplyDeleteThanks Gosia.
DeleteThe high risers in Melbourne do look lovely.
Nice photos, thanks for sharing your trip adventures.
ReplyDeleteThank you - more to come.
DeleteThat's a long time away from home, I don' think I could stand it
ReplyDeleteIt is a long time Adam, but travelling and site seeing, window shopping, new people to meet time soon flies. Don't think I would like to go for longer though as many people do.
DeleteWelcome Home !
ReplyDeleteSuper photo's here ...
All the best Jan
Thank you Jan....good to be home.
DeleteI can't believe I don't know that short jetty in the third last photo. I certainly know everything else in the photos. Two cruise ships have arrived this morning and will stay two nights for the Melbourne Cup.
ReplyDeleteThe short jetty was taken from the jetty whilst we were inline to board the ship. The jetty is to the east of Station Pier.
DeleteHope that helps.
Now those cruise ships would generate some money into Melbourne.
Welcome home. I am glad that your mishaps were relatively minor (though frusttating).
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteMinor is was compared to some travellers and others :)
My parents took the Spirit of Tasmania when then went over to Tassie, Tim and I flew over when we went dad so liked going across via the ship that he started thinking taking a cruise wouldn't be that bad and of course when we went on a cruise earlier in the year he loved it which is why we are going again next year. Love the photos
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful you are going on another cruise Jo-Anne next year.
DeleteWelcome back. These photos are amazing
ReplyDeleteThanks you, nice to be home.
DeleteAmazing for phone photos! Even I was surprised.
What a wonderful vacation.
ReplyDeleteCertainly was Sandra.
DeleteHome Sweet Home! You've been on the move so long, you probably feel as if you are still in motion. I'm sure it is good to get home to family and friends.
ReplyDeleteYes we do feel in motion still :)
DeleteHave been busy since being home with family, birthday (youngest grandchild turned 2) and friends.
Home to watch the race that stops the nation.
ReplyDeleteYou have my "carefully" selected 4 tips - NOW START PRAYING!!
At least it will be better than the one the following week
where we might end up with Armageddon winning!
Cheers
Colin
I will pray and let's hope your selection WINS, fingers crossed and toes too.
DeleteThat's a spiffy looking dining room. I've never seen the Port of Melbourne, I love looking at cruise ships, they make me think of opulence and extravagance, things the super-wealthy take for granted. They do in the movies anyway.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your home to yourself soon, for some quiet time.
It is a nice dinning room and rather large at that.
DeleteGrandeur for sure in those cruise ships according to the TV..
Lots of cooking and cleaning with 5 others in the house, let alone the washing - hard to get mine done! I don't mind though.
Absolutely gorgeous. Although I've never had the stomach for sea travel so you are a better person than I. haha
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert.
DeleteIt's not for everyone travelling the ocean.
welcome home :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Good to be home.
DeleteWelcome back!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteHappy Halloween. Hope the grands enjoy it and get a haul:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra....they did get lots of lollies as we call them :)
DeleteAfter a long journey, want to return home.
ReplyDeleteI've also done a little getaway to the coast, on the bridge of All Saints.
Beautiful pictures.
Kisses
Trust you had a good time then.
DeleteGood to be home.
Ahhhhhh.....so nice to be home! :)
ReplyDeleteYess, it is good to be home.
DeleteIf they are the only two problems you had on an extended road trip like that I think you did very well. And if you are still talking to each other, even better!
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky.
DeleteYes, still talking to each other...lol
I wondered where you been, great voyage Margaret.
ReplyDeleteThat is nice that you wondered :)
DeleteWelcome home. I think you really have had a wonderful trip. Te photos are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks...and it was a good holiday.
