There will be a photo or two.
A few clues.
Be safe everyone.
“I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror –
The wide brown land for me!”
― Dorothea Mackellar,
Rockhampton Sunset, Queensland.
Atherton Tablelands, Queensland.
Cairns, Queensland.
Cape Tribulation Road.
From Tasmania the island to above Cairns in Queensland.
A long way!

Looks as if you are off on another Australian adventure Margaret - I suspect you will be heading in a different direction this time - have a great trip.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosemary.
DeleteYes, heading towards the East.
Beautiful. I have been taking a few long walks here in Montreal, as we have been having some really nice, but not humid, days and I am very much enjoying it.

DeleteYou should see some sunshine in Cairns, although it is not evident in your photos. I remember day after day of 27 degrees, midwinter.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we are hoping for Andrew - sun and no rain!!
DeleteGreat place to spend the winter months.
ReplyDeleteMerle.........
Sure is Merle for those of us that like the winter sun in the tropics.
DeleteHave fun as I suspect you will in sunny FNQ.
ReplyDeleteLong way - from Lauceston, across Bass Strait and then up to Cairns
and beyond.
I think like from Key Biscayne ( Florida) to above Montreal (Canada) or
from Naples (Italy) to way up above Moscow (Russia).
I don't envy Shanks one iota!
I trust you will do the Newell routing in NSW and not that boring Pacific Highway???
Cheers
Colin
Yes up the Hume, then Newell now on the Bruce Highway towards Cairns..
