Miss 8 and Miss 6 go to swimming lessons each week early in the evening. The pool is just down the road, about 5 minutes from home and their school.
Sometimes my husband and I take them which is great for us for when they lived in Queensland we missed out on attending their activities.
Also I am teaching Miss 8 a bit of Ballet, just a few basics.
Interesting, for I have danced on the oldest stage in Tasmania, being a Signet in Swan Lake when I was very young.

ReplyDeleteThey enjoy their swimming..
DeleteAhhh, how cute. Looks like they are having fun! I love to swim, but I am unable to do so in pools, due to a severe chlorine allergy.
ReplyDeleteOh that's no good for you then..the smell of chlorine is strong. Wonder how you would go drinking our water! It has chlorine, guess you wouldn't be able to drink it,...
DeleteSo happy that you have this opportunity to see them in action! Great fun photos.
ReplyDeleteWe are indeed lucky...
DeleteExcellent for you that your family is now local so you can enjoy those small moments such as this, which you would otherwise miss with only ocassional visits.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that they live near now...we lap the grandchildren up whilst they are interested in us, as time will come and they won't be, maybe :)
DeleteGood to see active children, hopefully they will join a swimming club for competition races etc.
ReplyDeleteMuch, much healthier than being a "potato couch", sitting at a computer "playing" games.
Cheers
Colin
They are never still for long and enjoy outdoor activities..
DeleteSwimming is a great skill for kids to learn at a young age.
ReplyDeleteIt is, and a must as many children drown, even in shallow water.l
DeleteOh had great they are going to swimming lessons, it is so important to learn to swim, Kathy took Sydney for years to lessons but not Summer she couldn't afford to take Summer, Sydney's dad and grandmother paid for her lessons

DeleteSwimming was always fun when I was little.
ReplyDeleteThat's good, and I hope you still get to swim in the warmer weather coming your way.
DeleteThese are some of the great joys of being a Grandmother.
