Huntsman Lake, Meander Valley, Tasmania, Australia.
Lake Huntsman was formed when the Meander Dam was made. It's a great fishing area. Meander Valley is out Deloraine way.
This day we were gone about 7 hours.
Part of the view on the way.
Lake Huntsman.
The Picnic Area which is accessed from another road.
Part of the country on the way home, a steep narrow winding road.
Again so spick and span looking. I guess it is a week day, as if this place is close enough to a bigger town ( Launceston or Devonport) on a weekend and especially in summer that lake would be a hive of activity - water sports and fishermen. Hopefully separated to preserve the peace.!! Water skiing and fishing don't mix do they?? Cheers Colin
Was a week day, and I don't think that many people would go there for a picnic, but lots fishing and no water skiing as you might get topped off by a log of wood or something of that nature. The distance from home would be too far for a picnic for most people.
Great landscapes, the cloud give it an additional touch.

Nice place, lucky there were clouds that day as it was a warm one.
DeleteVery pretty Janice. That first photo reminds me of an epic drive up the western cape in South Africa. Strange how one place can remind you of another.
ReplyDeleteIt is odd how that happens. I have had people say this to me before.
DeleteOne beautiful lake. Can you swim there, if you wanted? What would the water temp be in the lake?
ReplyDeleteI presume you could swim there, there were not signs not to say so.
DeleteWater would be cold I should imagine, but alright on a really hot day.
Such beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice :)
DeleteGreat view and nice place for picnic
ReplyDeleteYes it is, but a bit far from where I love to have one.

ReplyDeleteInteresting :)
