A few things!

Youngest sister in law came to visit today, could hardly walk.  She improves as the day goes on.  It happened overnight last week.  Went to bed, upon arising she couldn't walk very well, her hands and legs painful and swollen, just to name a few things that are wrong.  Tests are being done by her Dr. It appears though not confirmed, she is having a bad reaction to 'Statin' which is her Cholesterol tablet.  All cholesterol tablets are statins.

I bought a new iPad Air 2 a couple of days ago, very pleased with it.  My old iPad 2 was jumpy and slow, it's been used heaps and is worn out nearly 4 years on.

Travelling around not that far from home here I took some photos in the country which don't belong to anything in particular, just an assortment of photos. I took these around the Longford area here in Tasmania, Australia.

An old barn which is the entrance to Accommodation apparently.

The cross at the Catholic Church in Longford.  We asked two locals where the church was, neither could tell us.  The church was locked, and Mass is held there I presume once a month, though I am not sure.

Note the bell on the right. Don't often see this attached to a church.

The above house is in the town of Perth, and it once belonged to one of my husband's Aunties and her husband, long ago.  It's the only two story house built on the side of the road in Perth.

Naked ladies because they have no leaves.  These are found in many places at this time of the year.

  1. Bells and churches go together here, although they are out of vogue and only on the old churches. That's a terrible reaction to statins. I hope it resolves quickly!

    1. Many churches have a bell tower but this one is separate.
Yes a dreadful reaction which is part of the problem.
      Thanks for your kind words.

  2. I can't pick one of the pictures I enjoyed the most, as they are all wonderful for their own purpose. The cross and the church stand out for me. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Is it a lily? Lovely church. Have your SIL google adverse reactions to statins. Most people can take them but a few have awful reactions. It can be very serious (called Myositis I think) so she needs medical opinions immediately if indeed it is statin related. I was on them for about 5 years without reaction thankfully but I don't need then any more. Best of luck to her. 6. Intriguing photos!
I'd love to know what actually is inside that barn now??
Maybe if close to your home, worth another "sticky-beak" visit??

Funny that church bell. I'd completely forgotten but on seeing it on
your blog, I recalled the bell at the Catholic Church at Moree.
The same - out in the open! I know I had to ring the bloody thing
as I was an altar boy way back in the "good old 50's in Moree".
    Cheers

PS: Need any rain?? - ha ha! Plenty of it up here - to excess in Brisbane!!

    1. On the door of the barn it said, accommodation...so I guess there is an office and what ever else, have no idea. The barn is not that far from home :) I might ask someone what's in there. I went there once before with my camera and didn't get a very good reception.

I think I have seen the church at Moree when travelling through but didn't take a photo.

No rain down here....could do with lots but not as much as you are getting.

    2. We went right through Moree, also to the older part of the town...if that helps.

    1. Wonderful to see the weathervane, I always like those in the appropriate place. The ladies were in the garden at the side of the Main Street in Longford.

    1. Well I got my first iPad because it was clearer than what was offering at the time. I got this new one to be different from my husband as he has a Samsung. I also have a Kindle to read books on, it will surf the net but I dont bother with that part of it.

  9. Craig may know the flower as a Nerine, assuming they are the same and I think they are. I take a cholesterol medication that is not a statin but a lipid lowering drug. No side effects but my partner had a bad reaction to statins, with joint pain. He stopped and I think takes another brand now.

    1. That could well be the case. My husband is the expert and I should ask him. That's interesting about R and statin. SIL went to the Dr. Today for results of blood test. Shows a few problems..a dreadful reaction she is having, and will take ages for her to recover to some degree. It's rare to have such a severe reaction.

  10. Oh yes, great photos. The barn looks somewhat like an American barn.

    1. Thanks...and it does look a little similar to an Amercian one, I guess that was done in the revamp of the old barn.
