The Casino

We went for dinner to a Restaurant in the Country Club Casino the other evening for a friends Birthday, so there was just four of us.  Beautiful meal and I forgot to take photos, but thought to take photos of the Casino where we don't frequent only for meals sometimes.
The Casino and Resort opened in 1982 has a few restaurants, gaming rooms, and a golf course which they are redoing at the moment.
There were several Native Hens (Turbo Chooks), kangaroos feeding in the grounds, but I didn't get any photos of them.  I've added a link for those that would like to view a post I did back in 2021 with photos of the Native Hens.
This entrance is the side entrance and not the main one if you are staying for a night or two, even a week.

  3. When we last visited, Ray and our host visited the casino, while I and our friend took the car for a wash and fruitlessly tried to find the transport museum. So, I haven't seen it until now.

    1. I guess your Casino's are much larger and busier than ours.

    1. Thanks. I like it in there but don't care for the gambling area, wouldn't have a clue as what to do!

  12. It's a very elegant place Margaret, must have been lovely to celebrate a birthday here. I checked out the bird link and enjoyed it. I was going to write a comment and then noticed I had been there before. I was glad to go back as I don't remember it very well. Thanks for the link.

  14. Very impressive.! And no doubt expensive when it comes to the food???
I certainly didn't know that such exotic places were in Tassie.
The wood ducks were back in force when I was waiting for my bus - at least 50+.
And they were chasing each other - I don't think it is the mating season yet.
The very disobedient ducklings arrive in September.
More damn rain here - ferocious storms during the night and raining still, but I bet
there will be hardy surfers in the water.
    Cheers
    Colin
