It's Today!

Time has come to travel for just over 3 months once again within Australia.
So we leave our home once again which is being left in good hands.
Not quite finished travels for Winter 2016, will finish sometime.
If I'm able to most likely due to internet coverage and data available might be able to post a photo or two whilst away.

Today we sail across the sea, Bass Strait to Melbourne in Victoria and head north once again with our caravan. We don't know exactly where we are going, just follow our noses :)

Down to Eden, NSW

Arrived at Eden in October 2016 for a few nights staying at a very clean cute caravan park.
Never have we seen a sign as below in all our years of travelling Australia since the year 2000 only missing a couple of years. (Usually winter only)

Often the sailing boats come to Eden for shelter.

Bodalla, NSW

We came past Bodalla which has Cheese!  Yes, the town known for Cheese, Didn't buy any though.

Heading home, Winter 2016

Batemans Bay is not that far from Melbourne, Victoria so therefore not far from home which is the Island of Tasmania south of Victoria.
Batemans Bay was much cooler in temperature so the heater came out when necessary, plus winter clothing.

We stayed in a nice caravan park a few klms from the town it was by the beach, but we couldn't see the sea, that was just a few steps away.

Didn't pull the awning out due to strong winds at times.

Things one sees south of Sydney in Winter 2016.

South of west Sydney we saw the above then the car below, didn't see the accident was rather amused at seeing this man driving along the off road - highway.

Kiama light house on a hill over looking the sea.

Kiama is a township 120 kilometres south of Sydney in the Illawarra, New South Wales, Australia in the Municipality of Kiama. At the 2011 census, Kiama had a population of 12,817 people. One of the main tourist attractions is the Kiama Blowhole

Port Macquaire, Bulahdelah, Heatherbrae, NSW

After Port Macquarie we headed to Heatherbrae in NSW for one night before heading towards Sydney,  I planned on the map to go west of Sydney and we found our way without getting lost! 5 lanes of traffic in places.  We have been into Sydney before but without a caravan.

Port Macquaire Police Station, the newer one then the old one.

Bulahdelah, NSW - the shopping area on a rather steep hill, it's here we had lunch at a lovely park.

Town Beach, Port Macquarie, rather a rough day

Port Macquarie, NSW

Port Macquarie is a town at the mouth of the Hastings River in New South Wales, Australia. It’s known for its beaches, wildlife and penal colony past. St. Thomas' Anglican Church was built by convicts in the 19th century. A coastal walk from the town centre to the 19th-century Tacking Point Lighthouse offers views over waters home to whales and dolphins.

Once again in Winter 2016 a caravan park was by the Hastings River, this was our view!
