St Helens is the largest town on the north-east coast of Tasmania, Australia, on Georges Bay. It is known as the gaming fishing capital of Tasmania and is also renowned for its oyster as are other areas of Tasmania. The town is about 160 km east of Launceston and takes about 2 and 1/2 hours to get there. The highest temperature record there was 41.8 deg C (107.2 F) in a January but the graph doesn't say what year!
St Helens is a popular holiday place because of it's many beaches.
We visited the fish shop below a few times when we stayed there in summer and bought fish to cook in the caravan.
We are going to sell the caravan and it's been taken to caravan place to be sold, it might take awhile before it sells, but who knows really. So I suppose we will still visit places and stay in Motels, Apartments of something like when ever we feel like it.
