We boarded the Spirit of Tasmania for Melbourne towing our caravan behind us.
The trip across Bass Strait was a good one as far as we know, we slept through the night.
Arrived in Melbourne, Victoria about 6am and at 6.45am we were one of the first to drive off the ship.
Headed for the Hume Highway which takes you to Shepperton then onto Finley where we stayed the first night - HOWEVER - we didn't see the sign to the Hume Highway and ended up near Geelong :) so I got my Google map out on my iPad and found a road/path that would put us on the Hume Highway, ended up doing about 200 klm more than we intended.
Having done this many times before we just didn't see the sign and wasn't paying attention!

As you can see Geelong is a long way from Shepparton.
