Trees

Recent photos on our drive we came across these lovely trees with a lot of moss growing on them.  So I clicked away with my phone as I didn't take the digital camera.
A wet area but this last month February was a dry one.

Odds and Ends

A few odds and ends of our holiday away in February and March this year, 2022 in Tasmania on the North West Coast at Devonport and Ulverstone.

This is a pathway all along what is called 'The Bluff', it goes for a long way, bikeriders use it as in families, walkers and dog lovers with their dogs always on a leash.

At Picnic Point, the above steps to one of the beaches, and part of the caravan park.  You see the post on the left, that is where you get your electricity and the tap is what you put your water hose to the caravan and each site has these.

Came across these flowers which were on a very big tree, there were several of them down by the sea.  Have no idea what the tree/s are called they did look lovely.

Driving along

Springtime is a pretty time of the year when all the new leaves arrive on the trees and new flowers are abundant at home and along the roads when travelling.  Such was the case in 2014 travelling to Devonport, Tasmania.  (North West Cost)

These photo were taken well after Deloraine and near Elizabeth Town, Tasmania.

Lookouts, Queenstown

Onwards to Mount Huxley and Jukes Lookout along Jukes Road Queenstown.
The scenery along the way, some taken with the phone others with my Canon EOD750D.
When I lived at Queenstown there was a short road called Jukes Road.
We saw this road that led to the power station and we continued on having no idea where it would take us.  What lovely views we were seeing along the way.  It was rather a windy day, no phone access,  no other cars, just no one, no shops, just my husband and I travelling along this fairly good sealed road to goodness knows to where.
Have no idea what the stream or river is called as it's not on a map, however it's close to the power station.
Of course we ended up in the middle of nowhere.  Looking at the map of Tasmania one would think it would be filled with people but it's certainly not.

The Fisheries Museum within the gardens is informative with each room filled with all things one needs to go fishing with.

Continued walking around the garden seeing these beautiful trees.

Above the Plenty River from Salmon Ponds and below a view of the Restaurant from a different angle.
