There is a Caravan Park near by and a restaurant that opens for breakfast, lunch but not dinner.
On that point is where people stand to take photos or view the Staircase to the Moon. Photos of this can be viewed online in Google.
Staircase
to the Moon is a natural phenomenon which occurs when a full moon rises
over the exposed tidal flats of Roebuck Bay. The Staircase to the Moon
happens 2 - 3 days a month between March and October.
It's interesting what you find out when chatting to black people. A man and his women came up to us whilst we were seated watching the sea. This blackman asked us, "where you came from", we said, "Tasmania". He went on to say that in some caves near where he lives, his ancestors had drawn many drawings/carvings of the Tasmanian Tiger.
How would his ancestors know about the Tasmanian Tiger some 6,000 klms from Broome!
You can see Town Beach Caravan Park which is always booked out except in Summer - the Cyclone Season.
Scuppers the Sea-goose was present with his owners one of the times we visited Town Beach. His owners along with Scuppers go to different places in Australia asking to save the whales, the great barrier reef and so on.
