Sunset

We've stayed many times in our caravan at Wynyard on the North West Coast of Tasmania, Australia.  Now the caravan park is closed due to the owners being elderly and not well.  Yes, we will have to find somewhere else to stay in that area as the town is a sweet one and has all those things one needs in a town.
Here are few photos which I've never shown before - a Sunset looking one way, then the other way along with a straight view ahead of the beach a few steps from the caravan park and Bass Strait, the sea.

Apollo Bay, Victoria

Remember coming around a bit of a windy road and all of a sudden seeing this view, the rolling hills near down to the sea.  The area is Apollo Bay in the State of Victoria on the way back from South Australia.

Funny weather in Tasmania - Snow in November, late spring just amazing.  Photo taken out the family room window you can just see snow on Ben Lomond over 1 hour drive from home.  Last week is was 29degC.

The sink hole

In South Australia a State of Australia in Mount Gambier there is a Sinkhole called The Umpherston Sinkhole or the Sunken Garden.  The sinkhole was once a typical limestone cave that formed by the corrosion of limestone rocks by seawater waves and the sinkhole was naturally created when the chamber's roof collapsed.

These photos were taken in 2003 when we visited the gardens.

Cape Jervis, SA

In 2003 that we visited South Australia a State of Australia.  In those days not many photos were taken by me, but have a few which I haven't shown before.

This place is called Jervis Bay and it's here you catch the ferry to Kangaroo Island.  Cape Jervis in near the western tip of Fleurieu Peninsula on the southern end of the Main South Road about 88 kilometres south of Adelaide the capital of South Australia (SA).
You see the lighthouse which is unusual then part of a wind farm which we did visit back then.
The first photo is of Aboriginal Art.

Pieman River, Tasmania

The Tarkine Hotel in Corinna here in Tasmania is on the edge of the Tarkine Wilderness Area, a beautiful quiet place to visit with not a lot happening.  The Pieman River is just beautiful and of course you can take a boat trip up it, down it which is apparently lovely.
We've been to the Pub here me once and my husband twice and he and his friends crossed the Pieman River on the barge with our other caravan some years back.  Hopefully we can go again to visit this wee town.
Corinna has been developed much over the years, now there are several walks to be done which many people find interesting.
Corinna is a 3 hour 30 min drive (250km) west of Launceston, a 5 hour 15 min drive (350km) north-west of Hobart, and a 2 hour 20 minute drive (169km) south-west of Devonport on the North West Coast.

Irises

I rather like Irises and once we had the colours that grew for a few years and now only the dark blue ones grow, the others have just disappeared.

The lavender with a bee grew beside the fishpond until the fish pond was removed so the lavender was disposed of.  We now have a very similar lavender in another area of the garden, we used to call the lavender 'Spanish Lavender' but these days it has some other name.
