The creek

This is a creek in Swansea, Tasmania.  Swansea is on the east coast, it goes to the sea and is a  popular area in summer for humans up towards the sea.

In and around Swansea

Swansea on the east coast of Tasmania has a few lovely beaches.  The first photo is the one behind the caravan park.  There is a bit of sand there but it can't be seen. 

The view is of what is called The Hazards in the distance at Freycinet National Park.

The bay is called Great Oyster Bay.

The Sea

More of Swansea and the sea which is opposite the Caravan Park and whilst staying there for nearly a week the sea was rough and could be heard inside the caravan especially at night time.  We had to cut our holiday short and come home to a friends funeral which was Private and we were the only friends invited. 

These photos were taken with the Camera. Not wrapped in the colour either but it's due to the light and time of day these photos were taken.

After Richmond we headed to Swansea on the East Coast of Tasmania.  These photos were taken with my phone next time I will show ones with my camera.  I personally prefer a little softer colours where as the phones photos are sometimes harsher.

Great Oyster Bay

The Great Oyster Bay is rather large on the East Coast of Tasmania and opens up to the Tasman Sea.
This view is from the side of the little creek where the bridge is in my last post.  The first two photos then further south is the Tasman Sea before you get to Triabunna.

Pondering Frog and Swansea

The Pondering Frog is a Licensed Restaurant not far from Swansea in Tasmania. 
Didn't take a photo as too many cars were parked out the front of the building.
There is a large paddock which is mostly flat and it's here that one can park their caravan or RV for the night if you are self-contained, which mean - own bathroom, holding tank for water and grey water as there are no facilities expect in the restaurant which caravaner's/RV's can't use.
There is a donation box attached to a tree and one can leave a small donation which we did.
Many people stay here and travel a short distance to other tourist destinations in the area.

The place was packed (again no photo because every time I went outside to take one people were looking straight at my camera) and the next morning we were about the last to leave, we were not in a hurry.

Moved onto Swansea for a stop closer to the sea and to get out for a walk.  Took a few photos..

It's Today!

Time has come to travel for just over 3 months once again within Australia.
So we leave our home once again which is being left in good hands.
Not quite finished travels for Winter 2016, will finish sometime.
If I'm able to most likely due to internet coverage and data available might be able to post a photo or two whilst away.

Today we sail across the sea, Bass Strait to Melbourne in Victoria and head north once again with our caravan. We don't know exactly where we are going, just follow our noses :)

The General Store at Swansea, Tasmania

Morris General Store at Swansea on the East Coast of Tasmania has been one for over 100 years.
It's in the main street, which is a busy one for the small population.
An IGA Supermarket is joined onto the store, then you go through the door to view so many things one could and can buy.  There is another room which sells all kitchen ware, I had a great time looking.  Wool is also sold along with needles, crochet hooks and patterns.
The store has been in the Morris family all of the years.
