Lunch, Restaurant not that far!

Villarett Gardens is a lovely drive from Launceston taking about 45 minutes.
The food is well worth the drive.  The Restaurant is licensed and can cater for 80 people.
Accommodation is available too.
The garden is on 4 hectares and hilly.

Brandy Snap with Raspberries was the sweet I chose. Delicious.

Can't recall what this sweet was called but do know 'Toffee' something - look like Pineapple Tart - maybe.

The Restaurant itself which rests on top of the hill.

A wet Autumn Day in North Western Tasmania.

We went to Devonport yesterday and it rained all the way and most of the way home., it's welcome, the rain.

Had lunch at an Eatery across from the Mersey River, a great meal and even sweets, oh I'm naughty....but I won't go into that.

My dads Plaque was being put in place when we arrived at the cemetery at long last. First the death date was incorrect, then a word was spelt incorrectly but all fixed now. His is a leaf of a page that is now placed beside my mums.  So that is final and over and done with.  The plaques are made in Melbourne.

Not far from Devonport we stopped for a rest as I saw a Horse Chestnut tree was changing it's colour.  It was raining so I didn't get out of the vehicle.
Here in Tasmania there is not a lot autumn colour in our trees.

Opposite to where we had lunch - The Spirit of Tasmania is docked and will turn around in the river to sail to Melbourne in the evening.

Just up the road is Neptune where the Mersey River meets Bass Strait.

Subway

I quite like Subway, however I would rather the roll had butter spread on it because I find the roll always dry, no matter what town or city we are in.

When travelling we often call into a Subway if the town has one, and have Subway for lunch, but it becomes tiring after a while.  Sometimes we find a local bakery and buy sandwiches, or something else to eat and usually eat it in the bakery or outside in a dinning area.  We even take our lunch to a nice park that we may find, sit at the table and eat there. I have a husband who won't eat in the car :) A fussy Virgo!

This photo was taken from the car travelling down the road in Queensland at 110km...I was surprised it came out fairly clearly.
