Tulip time

It's that time of year again, Tulip time at Wynyard on Table Cape on the North West Coast of Tasmania.  The Festival of Tulips was held October 12, 2024.  The main street in Wynyard is lined with Tulips, there is music, a small market, and eateries.  Many people come to the festival after winter to have a good time.

Table Cape is an extinct volcanic vent dominating the coastline close to the town of Wynyard.  Its 180m cliff drops away into Bass Strait and Table Cape Tulip Farm is perched on the top.

Tulip Time

 It's Tulip time again being Spring.  These tulips are grown down the North West Coast on a farm at Tablecape just near Wynyard.  The Farm is open from September 23, to October 22, or longer depends on how the tulips are blooming. There is a fee to enter this working farm to view the tulips.

It's Tulip time once again here in Tasmania, Australia.  On the top of Table Cape along the North West Coast of Tasmania it's all happening.  A grower grows all the tulips and the farm is open to the public for viewing from October till blooming finishes.

 The clocks have gone forward one hour 'Daylight Saving Time' once again.

Haven't travelled anywhere since the beginning of April, just a day trip here and there.

It's Tulip time in Tasmania.

The photos were taken a few years back at a Tulip Farm on Table Cape on the North West Coast.  Could go again this year but be nothing new to see, just more tulips and probably a few new varieties in a different paddock.

The tulips are grown and exported to the Netherlands - yes, that's true!

Will do a few post on the tulips.
