There are two large water storage tanks in Bowen perched up on one of the hills, they can be seen from some distance away. We found the road up to them and hence these photos.
Our water company is also putting murals on water storage units. Which I love. The biggest and best is not in a position I can photograph it sadly - or get more than fleeting glimpses as we drive by.
Very impressive art work - certainly looks better with the art than just bare and of course the contents would be cool. Well on the "cool" business of the water, one would hope so - ha ha. Colin
Beautiful great water tank, well taken.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bob.
DeleteVery nice!!

Yes they sure can be seen from a distance and they do look nice.
DeleteCool tanks
ReplyDeleteThey are.
DeleteGreat work, and a town doesn't have to have silos to have large public art.
ReplyDeleteNo it doesn't, there are mural in several streets on the walls but I've posted them before.

DeleteBeautiful water tanks. I wish they do the same thing to our water tanks.
ReplyDeleteOne day they might do something to them Nancy, they are certainly unattractive objects, but lovely if painted and kept looking good.
DeleteWhat a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing these and giving me a much needed smile!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to see these close and find out just what was painted on the tanks.

Reflects the sea which is nice.
DeleteWhat a great idea. They look so much more interesting than a concrete water tank. Similar to the silos.
ReplyDeleteSimilar and good to see with good art on both.
