First day of Autumn - how time has flown since Christmas.
Had a very busy 4 days. Miss 4 and Master 2 came to stay for 3 sleeps. Delightful well behaved little ones. We were up at 5 to 6 am mind you and we are not used to that.
Days were full of loving fun and laughter whilst the little ones parents went to Melbourne to the Caravan Show - and yes, they bought a caravan.
So back to Holiday 2016.
Cape Tribulation, Far North Queensland is a remote headland and ecotourism destination in northeast Queensland, Australia. A coastal area within Daintree National Park, it offers a combination of rainforest and beaches.
Walking routes include boardwalks and ridge trail on Mount Sorrow. Bird-watching and jungle zip-lining are poplular activities.

It's been so hot via the news where you live, and most people in Australia expect for a few places will be wishing autumn to come quickly and hopefully cooler...warm here today at 30 deg C...
DeleteOur country is very varied, and that's good but it's a big country.
Beautiful place, with pictures of a beautiful station. In Spain, we will soon leave the winter and arrive at the beautiful spring season.

I might try zip-lining someday. The cape looks like a great place to visit. Here in the USA it will soon be Spring.

DeleteWe now have the zip thing nearby--- Not open again until warmer, drier weather arrives. I imagine your visit to the cape was lots of fun.

ReplyDeleteWell here it is raining and is starting to be a bloody nuisance.
The Cape thank God is immune from mining etc and hopefully remains
as a protected area for future generations to admire but these walks
would have my eyes glued for those "friendly Joe Blakes" and feral pigs.
Any feral water buffaloes in that area?????????

Didn't see any feral pigs or buffaloes in the area and I expect there could be water ones somewhere buffaloes I mean.

DeleteI get the impression that keeping the encroaching jungle back is a constant task. Caravanning must be in the family genes.

DeleteSeems the caravanning gene might run in the family - he's never been before, so we see if he and his wife like it...they don't get their van till May sometime.
There's a view I could happily live with. In an airconditioned house of course.

ReplyDeleteYou go towards the autumn and we spring (as soon as the sun begins to shine, and the rest of the snow will melt).
That's true - and our winter is certainly not as cold as yours with snow - only a few of our mountains get or have snow and it doesn't last for long apparently.
