Bridport, Tasmania, Australia

The Bridport Lighthouse was built in 2017, so it's certainly not old and it's a concrete round one that serves the purpose for the local area. The sea is Bass Strait.
The photos were taken near the lighthouse at Bridport in the north eastern area of Tasmania.

  2. The views are beautiful. That is probably the newest lighthouse I've ever seen, it does the job though.

    1. I didn't know how old the lighthouse was until I reseached it. The waterfront area there has been changed over the years.

    1. Lighthouses are interesting especially if someone or family have lived there where they are, many stories to be told know doubt.
      Thank you Donna.

    1. There is a large picnic area where the lighthouse is, up further to the north of the town, wonderful views to the see but not sure if you can see the lighthouse.

  16. I would never have guessed that the lighthouse had only been built six years ago! I just assume that they're all a century old (walks alway in shame)

A very recent lighthouse, they are always precious aids to sailors.

  20. There is something about a lighthouse that is just magical. Even if they were built in 2017.
