The Trout

I just love eating fish, so I cooked a small rainbow trout in the oven.  I put lemon slices in the middle and outside along with onion a little butter and parsley put the foil over it completely and put it in the oven for about 25 minutes to cook, so it steamed beautifully and only cost me $8,00AUD which is cheap.

This is Summer the dog who belongs to eldest son his wife and family.  Summer insisted on sitting on my knee so hence the close up photo with my phone.  Summer is a gently soul.

  4. Uno de mis platos favoritos es la trucha asalmonada. La suelo poner a la plancha y rellena de jamón.
    Besos.

    1. That would be tasty too. I often grill my fish instead of steaming.

  5. While I've caught trout, I've never eaten it. I'm sure your cooking method made it very tasty.

  13. I love fish but hubby is not a great fan of fish. Summer has beautiful eyes and I like the way how Summer looked into the camera.

  15. I loved what you have prepared! in the lakes of Argentine Patagonia, there is an abundance of trout. On another occasion, try it, cooking it in a pan over direct heat, with butter and some almonds.

  17. Sorry about the delete. I don't usually have long fingernails, but they seem to keep pressing the wrong button, LOL! Summer looks like a gentle soul, with a beautifully expressive little face. She would be welcome here any time :) Your trout looks delicious Margaret! I have never cooked it myself but there used to be a restaurant we would go to when visiting relatives, and it had the best grilled trout that I would order each time we went there, only twice a year mind you. Thanks for this recipe. I'll give it a go.

    1. Long nails can be a burden at times, when playing the piano they get in the way for me. Summer is a very gently soul, wouldn't hurt a fly and is no trouble, never hear her bark which is good when travelling with son and family. I often have grilled fish if we eat out...but due to Covid keeping away from eating out for the time being.

  18. This has an extraordinary view, it had to be very rich, I also cook as they say around here I am a cook and the baked fish are among my favorites, either Trout, Sea bream, Sea bass, any of them and some more.
    Best regards.
