The Sea, Tasmania

At the Wynyard Caravan Park in March 2020 and the below photos is the view from just a few steps from the Caravan Park....so from the mountains to the sea.
It's wonderful listening to the sea with it's waves rolling in with the tide late at night then early morning.

It's here we heard more about Covid-19 and that is was on/in our Island and had been for several days but not in the area where we were.  We stayed where we were, then headed back to Launceston to where our house/home is.

Up on that hill, Table Cape are tulips which are grown and can be viewed in springtime.

Above, the pathway from the caravan park to the sea.

Above the owner of the caravan parks home over looking the sea = Bass Strait, Tasmania.
Below, outside the gate of the caravan park.

    1. You can walk from one side of the river to the other as that sea becomes a river along a bit.

    1. The pathway is excellent for you, all the way into the town and back past where we were, even over a bridge along the other side of the river as the sea goes onto a river, or the river goes into the sea :)
      flat all the way.

    1. Beautiful to see after being with mountains, not that there is anything wrong with mountains.

  6. We quite liked the town of Wynyard itself but I don't think we got to see the beach. Is that The Nut in the distance?

  7. These are some beautiful views, Margaret, and how wonderful to walk along that boardwalk and see the water and the mountains. Also good that there was no COVID-related issues where you were staying.

    1. Very lucky no Covid where we were as it was only the beginning of it here in Tasmania in late March.

  9. Lovely to see photos of Wynyard, a place I would like to visit as my cousin moved there a few years ago and he tells me how lovely it is, so it is on my list "to see" one of these days. Thanks for sharing.

Cousin is right, it's a sweet town and central to a degree.

    1. Never get tired of the sea, you are right.
My parents had a great view in Devonport of the sea, when I stayed there looking after my mum, then my dad it was a great view - but I sold that house when they passed so someone else has that view.

  13. The ocean looks so inviting...both to dip one's toes into, and to sit on the foreshore staring out across to the horizon.

I love your new header, too, Margaret....absolutely beautiful. They look like jacaranda blossoms...and it looks like a painting...a glorious painting of glorious blooms.

Jacarandas are being to break loose up here...I love jacaranda season.

    1. They are Scilla Campanulata from my garden and photo taken yesterday, all I did was make the photo to fit and did nothing else.
I too thought they had been painted but, no, that's just out of the camera, amazing. Thanks re header, seems a thing with me lately to change it a lot :)
Good to see the sea after being away seeing mountains.

  14. Great pictures of a beautiful and serene place!
I particularly like the last one with the bench. It is as if the bench is waiting for people to sit on it, and enjoy the view of the sea.
