On our way to Queenstown on the North West Coast back in March 2020 we called into Bradys Lake on a beautiful day and drove around that lake.
It's a very small town with mostly shacks where people come to stay to go fishing on the lake or just to relax. In the lake is of course fish, brown and rainbow trout and probably a salmon or two.
It's a place to camp as you can see in the second photo someone has taken the privilege of doing so.
The 3rd photo we have blackberries growing along the side of the road, we saw plenty of these way down the road. The second last photo is a shack and most shacks there are similar.
The view and reflections were just gorgeous to see in person.
Beautiful views!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, had never been there before.

ReplyDeleteCheers
Thanks you.
DeleteBeautiful views indeed!
ReplyDeleteIndeed and peaceful.
DeleteBeautiful photoes!What a blue blue lake! :)))
ReplyDeleteThanks. I expect the reflection from the sky enhances the blue of the lake.
DeletePerfect reflections especially the last one.
ReplyDeleteJust love reflections Rosemary.
DeleteMe encantan las imágenes del lago.
ReplyDeleteNo como moras, desde era pequeña. Mi madre siempre andaba detrás mía, advirtiéndome que no me manchara. Las moras las consumía directamente del árbol.
Besos
Thanks.
DeleteYes, blackberries make a stain but I love them.
What a beautiful, beautiful spot.
ReplyDeleteI do hope those blackberries are left to ripen to be enjoyed by campers and picknickers. Here we have a nasty tendency to poison them just before they can be picked.
That's the thing with blackberries, you have to know if they are been sprayed.
DeleteTalk about beautiful
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous there was rather surprised myself.
DeleteSo calm and the water seems quite clear.
ReplyDeleteIt looked good that day Andrew, not far off the main road either.
DeleteLooks like an ideal place for water sports - skiing etc.
ReplyDeleteOur mate Novak could wack balls there without the likelihood
of hitting a lines person - ha ha!
Colin
True, hardly hit anyone that day, only saw one person there.
DeleteAnd not a cloud to be seen in the scene! I can almost feel the crisp, cool air upon my skin. :)
ReplyDeleteTo you the air would be crisp and clean, to me it was a humid day :) but a beautiful one.
DeleteWhen we first moved to our house I was delighted that there were so many blackberries to pick. After nearly 30 years I'd be happy to give up the delicious blackberries if the plants would disappear! Blackberries and cockroaches will inherit the earth. Loved your pictures, as usual.
ReplyDeleteBlackberries are a real pest.
DeleteDon't know much about cockroaches at all.
Thanks.
I hope you get a chance to go back when the blackberries are ripe, to make a pie, and we will all come over for a slice!
ReplyDeleteWe saw plenty of Blackberries on the side of the road most ripened near New Norfolk but didn't pick them as they may be been sprayed.
DeleteLove Blackberry Pie made of course with tasty ones..
Its a beautiful lake. Blue sky and blue water. It would be nice to harvest the ripe blackberries.
ReplyDeleteWas pretty there Nancy, blackberries are tasty things but you do get scratched when picking them.
DeleteI love lakes, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt is Natalia.
DeleteYou definitely live in a most beautiful part of the world! Your photos are a great testimony on that.
ReplyDeleteLakes and blackberries; I love them both.
Thanks Duta.
DeleteCertainly is lovely here in Tasmania : )
Oh the views are just fabulous, and another great header photograph.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan.
DeleteBella serie de imagenes, amiga
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI'm improving recognising words in Spanish :)
As blue as can be, beautiful images of the lake.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bob.
DeleteBeautiful place and lake
ReplyDeleteVery peaceful there.
DeleteWater reflections are always wonderful sights and you sure had a great day for these, Margaret. I wondered if you stopped to pick any berries as well.
ReplyDeleteNo we didn't stop to pick the berries when we saw ripe ones probably due to the fact that we didn't know if they had been sprayed with poison.
DeleteBonito lugar para acampar. A mí me encantan las moras, pero este año no pude ir a recoger para hacer mermelada. Besos.
ReplyDeleteHopefully next year you can go and pick the blackberries...fingers crossed for that.
