Camilla in Queensland has a population of about 400 people. There is a service station plus food, we often call to get some chips and maybe fish at the roadhouse.
These flowers are beautiful in colour and are a nice contrast against the blue and the colour of the road.
The old house, still no one lives in it and each year it looks worse.
Hibiscus in bloom at the Caravan Park in Rockhampton.
Whenever I see an old house like that falling into disrepair and no longer occupied, I always wonder about the hopes and dreams of the people who built it and what has happened for it no longer to appeal to anyone.
When the Greeks made fish and chips it didn't seem where the shop was the meal was always wonderful, and of course they are not the same (the chips) if they are not in newspaper, and newspaper of old :)

ReplyDeleteI think the same as many of us do. Sad really because it probably will fall to the ground eventually.
DeleteDo you know the name of the first flower with such a pretty frilly edge and wonderful colour?
ReplyDeleteHibiscus Rosemary, the wind was blowing it and fortunately it came out clear and sharp.
DeleteIt does look different but also taken head on so to speak.
A deteriorated and inhabited house reminds us of an unknown past and sometimes it makes curious. Who lived there? Why did they leave?
ReplyDeleteExactly, I think the same.
DeleteCon tan pocos habitantes, se debe vivir muy tranquilo.
ReplyDeleteMe encanta la cuarta foto del hibisco en rojo.
