Thank you all for following our 3 months travel last year through various terrains in Australia.
This year, 2016 we will be heading to Cairns on the East Coast of Australia taking 4 months holiday.
Photos to come of some areas in Tasmania in the next post.
Photos below are of the Caravan Park at Apollo Bay, Victoria.
The view from our caravan site below and along at Apollo Bay, Victoria.
Coming down the road from the Caravan Park to the Highway.
Beautiful scenery and that house is incredible! Oh, how I would love to see the view from inside! Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteI think many people would have to see that view.
DeleteWhat a wild house and stunning view they must have.
ReplyDeleteBe a warm house when the sun was out though.
DeleteBe good if we could see their view.
Regarding the last house...would hate packing in the groceries.
ReplyDeleteProbably have a lift.
DeleteGood proximity to the sea of the caravan, that's a big advantage to enjoy the sea.
ReplyDeleteI like that last house, with large windows to the sea.
Kisses
Many a caravan park is by the sea in Australia. A good place to have them.
DeleteSuch a lovely place, Margaret, and the views are captivating!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery and views Linda.
DeleteYou have made a brilliant record of your trip - perhaps you should have it printed out and made into a family record book for the future.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosemary. I enjoyed doing it.
DeleteThat's a great idea about the book..will think about it.
Have had some of my photos made into a book, waiting to receive.
Margaret all is very interestring. The housesa look great and completely different rom ours
ReplyDeleteIt's the only house I have seen in Australia built like that.
DeleteI enjoyed the journey!
ReplyDeleteThat's pleasing to know :) I enjoyed doing it.
Deletethank you for sharing this
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome.
DeleteWell done Margaret and "Shanks" ( well he did the driving!).
ReplyDeleteA great travelogue and view of the Northern, Western and Southern sides of Australia - just shows the World what a large and diverse country we have the joy and privilege to live in.
Apollo Bay Caravan Park looks "Spick and Span".
That house???? Well I guess the owners are young, not a place for young kids, unless you like visiting hospitals with broken limbs,
and certainly not for the elderly.
Nah - I'd be giving it a miss by the proverbial "mile".
Many thanks for all your good work.
Cheers
Colin
PS: Federation Cup World Play-Offs this weekend in Brisbane. C'm on "Dasha" and "Sam" and final day of the Sydney Racing Carnival. I will be again glued to the TV - ha ha.
Thanks Colin.
DeleteThe driver did a great job with no mishaps or close shaves.
Expect if young children attached to the house there they would be well 'taught' on how to behave. Wonder is there a 'lift'!
Didn't get to watch the tennis as I had guests for lunch today.
I should hope to God and sense that there is a lift in that rather large steel/cement pillar structure.
DeleteColin
I've enjoyed your roam around Australia and learnt quite a few things. While I have been there, I have no memory of Apollo Bay and it looks rather nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased you enjoyed as I did doing it.
DeleteApollo Bay is a small village on the Great Ocean Road, with holiday homes - a beach place like others.
How I would love that house. Elderly or not.
ReplyDeleteAnd Apollo Bay looks lovely too.
I bet that house cost a fortune to build, but more today to do so.
DeleteAlways thought that house was on the other side of the road, but that's the sea :)
Wow! That's a house? Isn't that something!
ReplyDeleteYes, that's a house been there for a long time.
DeleteWhat a view, huh?
DeleteHappy Sunday.
I bet it's a beautiful view..wish I could see it and I expect so do others.
DeleteBeautiful scenery! Thank you for taking us along with you on your tour. Have a fantastic weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you and you are most welcome.
DeleteThat's a very pretty caravan park. I remember when caravan parks were just caravans, not a cabin in sight and amenities were a grubby toilet block with a shower off to one side.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd like to live in that house, I'd worry the pole might collapse.
It is a great caravan park, it was really clean, the walls in the amenities block was being painted, the garden immaculate.
DeleteMost caravan parks are excellent these days.
A bit of a worry the house on the pole.
Margaret, Looking foreword for your Journey and ventures in Tasminia. Enjoy and be safe.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful :)
DeleteWhat a scene, caravan and static homes, love it.
ReplyDeleteDifferent.
DeleteThe house on the pillar looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt sure does.
DeleteLooks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt does Sussi.
Deletewow what a wonderful photos of your glorious journey ,well captured by your camera eye ,in last pic is is this really a house ,view from here would be really thrilling
ReplyDeleteYes that is a house, and what a wonderful view it would be.
DeleteThank you so much for sharing your trip, and it is indeed a wonderful journal for you.
ReplyDeleteThat house perched high the views must surely be majestic!
Cairns next - already looking forward to seeing your photo's.
All the best Jan
You are welcome, loved sharing it :)
