A bit of trivia on Beaches around Tasmania, Australia.
Well, there are 11,761 recorded beaches around Australia, and I expect including Tasmania my home State which has over 16,000 recorded beaches. These 11,761 Australian beaches are spread over 50,000+ kilometer of coastline and ever changing. That's so many beaches that it would take roughly 226 years to see them all if you visited one per week. So, the coastline is linked by over 10,000 beaches, more than any other country in the world.
Australia does not charge anyone to swim in the sea, it's free coming and going as one pleases.
There are a few beaches that have pebbles on them, even rocks which is normal but mostly there is sand from coarse to very fine grains of sand coloured from dark to white.
The photos are of a few beaches in Tasmania, Australia.
Beach fishing.
A typical entrance to most beaches with a car park provided.
Sehr schön Bilder vom Meer und den Ständen leider ist das Meer bei mir weit weg ich stelle es mir schön vor jederzeit zum Meer zu gehen aber es gibt Flüsse, Seen und Wälder.

Well at least you get to see the water when you have lakes and rivers. Not everyone can live by the sea due to so many things. Forests and mountains are beautiful too.
DeleteThe beaches are beautiful. Last week I came across a book that the setting is inTasmania. It's main character is forensic pathologist Dr. Anya Crichton. The author is Kathryn Fox. It's pretty good and only cost 25 cents in a charity shop. :)
ReplyDeleteWell that sounds interesting Bill re the author and I believe she has a series of books.
DeleteAmazing you happened to come across the book for 25c way across the world.
Margaret, Argentina, my country, has more than 6,000 kilometers of coastline, where there is no shortage of beautiful beaches. From the world-famous beaches on the Atlantic Coast to the hidden coves of Patagonia, in Argentina. There is a beach for every type of person. As for the water temperature, I guess it will be very similar to those in Australia since it is at the same altitude. The season to enjoy them has already begun here.
ReplyDeleteGood on you enjoying your beaches, they are beautiful things to walk on and the views are another story.
DeleteIt is way too long since I have been to a beach.
ReplyDeleteNot always easy to get there when you live a little distance from the sea EC.
DeleteAlways something else to do I expect, and some people are just not beach people.
I grew up in California real close to the beach. Now living in Las Vegas, there's no real beach here and I miss it.
ReplyDeleteThere is just something about living by the sea, the wide open space, the sound of the sea and walking on sand that squishes between your toes. If I want to go to the beach I don't have far to go.
DeleteMaybe you will get to see the sea soon..
There is no one on your beach! Do the locals no appreciate it or is unpopulated in your area? Or maybe it is a workday.
ReplyDeletePeople hear don't seem to go to the beach a lot, either weekend or weekday due to the sun as it burns the skin more here in Tasmania than in any other part of Australia, as it can cause skin cancer and so on. In the summer time in school holidays there's more people.
DeleteIn some areas of Australia the beaches in summer can be quite full with people as those people prefer certain beaches and it might take too long to get to another beach even though a short distance might take a awhile to get there.
Hay playas donde escoger y eso hace que no haya masificación de gentes.
ReplyDeleteMuy bonitas las fotos de esa playa.
Un abrazo.
Yes, you are correct in what you have written.
DeleteThank you.
You are right about seeing all these beaches in one's life time
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that's so true as you have travelled around working so you would have seen quite a few.
DeleteWe do have some beautiful beaches
ReplyDeleteWe do indeed Jo-Anne.
DeleteLooks like photos were taken on different days???
ReplyDeleteThe fishermen on the beach seem to be rugged up.
Beautiful day here and about time and no damn snakes
but I am very vigilant.
After the Melbourne Cup I am off north and then to a mate's place in
Canberra. Hopefully protest free!
Cheers
Colin
They are different beaches photos taken on different days. From memory the fishermen on the east coast on a windy day but then again it's usually windy at the beach, Colin.
DeleteEnjoy your time away with your mate.
I expect that silly women won't make a show of herself whilst you are there in Canberra.
SILLY ??????????????
DeleteYou are too polite - stark raving loonie more like it
and I am NOT a monarchist but there is such a thing as
good manners and respect - it you can't do that - DON'T GO!
Colin
Well, silly it maybe and yes, manners and respect is the right thing to do. Don't believe there's either in that brain!
DeleteWe are fortunate to have such lovely and generally uncrowded beaches.
ReplyDeleteOh we indeed are, Andrew. Enough beaches for all those that wish to visit.
DeleteLindas playas. te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteSo beautiful! And I just love how clean the beach looks.
ReplyDeleteOur beaches are clean and kept clean but then not that many people make a mess either, so that is a big help.
DeleteThank you, thank you, thank you. Sun, sand and sea, what more could I possibly want?
ReplyDeleteOh R, I do know you love the three, was thinking of you when doing the post. 😎
DeleteVery beautiful view.
ReplyDeleteYes, Anne nice view from each beach.
DeleteBeautiful pictures of the different beaches.
ReplyDeleteHere in the Netherlands we have beaches along the entire country on the west coast, this is a few hundred kilometers long, further some beaches on the different places that are located on a lake like where I live along the IJsselmeer.
I wish you a beautiful Wednesday.
Greetings Irma
Thank you.
DeleteIrma, you don't have too far to go for a beach then. We have a couple of lakes that have sand too.
Take care,
Excelentes imagens do seu estado natural da Austrália.
ReplyDeleteTambém Portugal tem uma orla costeira com praias maravilhosas.
Abraço de amizade.
Juvenal Nunes
Thank you. So any places in this world have beautiful beaches..would take us many, may years to travel to see them all.
DeleteTasmania is a wonderful place. You just keep proving it. I have no desire to leave Ontario, but if I did Tasmania would be my choice.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely thing to say, David.
DeleteI love your beaches! So white and the waters are beautiful!
ReplyDeletehugs
Donna
Thank you Donna. I believe we have the cleanest air here.
DeleteYour beaches look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteHere in the UK depending on what part of the coast you are seems to determine the type of beach from sand, to shingle, to rocks and pebbles... even the sand on the beaches can be different!
All the best Jan
I've seen photos of the UK beaches, all different and all look to the sea.
DeleteQuerida amiga, preciosas playas, hay para elegir, me encantó, amo el mar
ReplyDeleteAbrazos y te dejo un besito, que tengas un feliz día
Thank you. Many people love the sea down here too...
DeleteTake care.
Hello Margaret
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beaches, I especially like them with that white sand. It's no wonder that Australia has so many beaches, after all it's a big island. It looks much worse here in Poland, there are beaches only in the north and I happen to live in the south of the country, so I rarely have contact with the beach. That's why I look at your beautiful photos with great pleasure.
Greetings!
Unfortunately, the days are getting shorter here, which is not good for outdoor hikes, there's not much time... :)
So your evenings become much longer when the days are shorter. I suppose you read, watch TV to pass the time in the evening.
DeleteSo that's a fair distance for you to travel to see the beach then as I looked it up on google.
The white sand on our beaches, just wonderful for it is silky to walk on.
Hello Margaret,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful locations. So fantastic to see all these wonderful pictures.

Delete16,000 plus beaches in Tasmania alone! WOW!
ReplyDeleteThe fact that it would take over 200 years to visit them all is mind-blowing.
Love that you can just hop in the water for free!
The variety in sand and those beautiful beach photos make me want to visit Tasmania ASAP!
