The eldest son R, his wife K and two children our grandchildren now 12 is E, 10 is Z. Here they are off to Queensland for a holiday staying in Brisbane, then the Sunshine Coast, then down to the Gold Coast all in Queensland. This photos was taken at the Launceston Airport at Evandale recently.
Since their return back home my husband and I decided to change the front garden, so son and a couple of his staff members pulled the old garden out and planted a new one.
This son pictured owns his own business and is a Landscape Gardener employing up to 10 people.
The new garden bed out the front with a border of dwarf Nandina's.
Son R is also a Soccer Coach of two junior football teams both winning their matches on May 4, 2024.

ReplyDeleteI removed my comment because I mistakenly thought that the photo of the football coach was your other son, but then realised it was another photo of your eldest son.
DeleteIt was handy for you both that he is a landscape gardener who was able to redesign your front garden for you. Could you may be show it again when it has matured?
Ok Rosemary. Yes it's very handy to have him that profession, his father my husband was a Nurseryman and Horticulturalist before retirement. Eldest son followed in the same field.
DeleteYes, I will post photo and close up ones of the plants when they grow along with the names of the plants.
Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne.
DeleteYou must be very proud of him :-)
ReplyDeleteYes we are Angie, of both sons.
DeleteBeautiful family!
ReplyDeleteThank you Catarina.
DeleteVery nice to have your son make your garden!
ReplyDeleteI love that your gardens don't have fences!
I think people bond better that way, unless there are issues!
Understand you.
DeleteYes we are lucky he and his staff came to do the garden.
Many gardens or the front of the houses don't have fences, then there are many who do, it's just choice.
I hope they enjoyed their time in QLD. How useful to have a landscaper in the family.
ReplyDeleteYes they had a wonderful time in Queensland EC.
DeleteWe are indeed fortunate to have a son who loves landscaping.
It's good you have someone who can such large garden jobs
ReplyDeleteIt is Jo-Anne, we don't have a big garden anymore as we have downsized the garden as we have become older.
DeleteThe pictures with your son, the coach, and his junior soccer players are awsome!
ReplyDeleteThank you Duta, the coaching gives him great pleasure as it's very different from the landscaping and gets his mind off his work.
DeleteYour son sounds like a very busy person, and a useful one to have by his landscaping efforts. By next summer your new garden should be looking great.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, he is terribly busy, we nearly have to make an appointment to see him..lol
DeleteYes, next year the garden will have grown and it should look nice, well to our liking.
Te quedo muy bien el jardín. Te mando un beso y buen fin de semana.
ReplyDeleteThank you JP.
DeleteLooks pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI lived for some time on the Sunshine Coast, it was great, far better than the Gold Coast.
The Noosa area is fantastic but very expensive.

ReplyDeleteIt's also great that you have such good contact with your children, we can't say that, we haven't had any contact at all for 6 years.
Have a nice weekend.

DeleteHello Margaret
ReplyDeleteYou have an extremely talented and very hard-working son. Sometimes it's worth changing the environment around your home. So that it will be new again and make us happy. Sometimes you don't need much, just a little idea and work, and that's what we'll enjoy for the next few months.
Greetings to you, your son and grandchildren and to everyone in general :))

DeleteThank you. R loves coaching so he says, the children love him too.
DeleteI always went to the boys' football games to barrack for them. But also to remind me of my own wonderful days of sporting fun...decades ago.
ReplyDeleteYour sons would have enjoyed you being there to watch them. I didn't play sport very much, I was a runner and always won, played basketball and we always won. I was more into the dancing and piano.
DeleteThat’s so nice to see photos of your family Margaret :) such a lovely family you have there. Fun to see the soccer team photos too. What a great job on your garden!
