Along a pathway at the Gorge here in Launceston, Tasmania. Tree ferns, Rhododendron, Peacock, Wallaby (medium sized Kangaroo), part of the Gorge in the last photo. Yes, there are houses on top of the hill in the last photo and more houses now.

They are manners they grow tall and that particular species survive the cold, there isn't a great deal of humidity for the fern. We have a neighbour that grows them.
It's lovely to have read this post and the previous one and to see all the greenery and colorful blooms, especially as there are no blooms around here now. That said, the temps are warm enough for early spring instead of early winter.
