Left of the Field Caravan Park is where we stayed next after New Norfolk. The park is situated in a bush setting with large caravan sites with power, water, camp kitchen, shower, toilets and washing machine facilities. We have our kitchen, washing machine, shower and so on in our caravan.
Here we had no TV, but we watched the news if we thought to and Netflix on our phones.
We stayed a few days and the old boot ladder was something different to see on the way to the office.
The old horse box does as a laundry, was rather amused to see this.
The above shows an empty site with a fire-pit in the middle there, you buy the wood at a small fee.
Below
is on the way to the garbage disposal area and you can see a swing, the
old type with ropes hanging from a tree. I remember when much younger
swinging on one of those.
The
map just near the left is Mount Field National Park , to the right of
that near the yellow road is 'Left of the Field' Caravan Park in
Tasmania. The Capital city Hobart is on on the bottom right of the map.
Love the innovative use of the horse box - and yet another beautiful area you have shared.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks.
Was amused at the laundry :) But recycling is good.
DeleteYou are welcome.
What a nice place to stay. I like the boots ladder and the old horse box used as a laundry area. Different and cool!
ReplyDeleteVery different there. This Saturday night there is a concert there, social distancing and you have to book of course. There won't be a crowd, just a few people.
DeleteI like the old boots now serving in their retirement as plant pots. Oh, the tales they could likely tell!
ReplyDeleteThey sure could tell many tales along with their walks :)
DeleteIt looks like a pleasant place to stay.
ReplyDeleteIt was good to stay there, but it's isolated to a degree but good if you want to just relax do a strip or two to Lake Pedder, Gordon Dam or just to Mount Field NP.
DeleteWhat nice photos
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne.
DeleteThanks.
ReplyDeleteCreative space, looks nice, have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Natalia.
DeleteAnother post that makes me wish I could see it in person--- But your posts are the next best thing.
ReplyDeletePhotos have to suffice these days.
DeleteI would have thought that not having TV would be one if the benefits of camping.
ReplyDeleteIt can be a benefit of course but many people like to see the news on TV. Many people take DVD's with them on their trips, we don't necessarily mostly because we don't need them.
DeleteSome people like to shut themselves away from the worlds happenings when travelling, that's ok too. Whatever one needs.
That caravan park is the sort that we like, not too organised yet has everything you want and the laundry "room" is great too.
ReplyDeleteNothing is organized and it's a roomy place with no neighbours really close, you can join into things if you wish or just let them pass you by.
DeleteI would love to experience your type of camping and travelling in a caravan.
ReplyDeleteIt's different Nancy and we have travelled doing motels and hotels many times as well.
Deletewow so many old shoes!!
ReplyDeleteIt must be nice to swing on that old tree Yeehaaaw!
Also it is good not to always be on the net..do other nice things!
Great post
Greetings anita
It's often good to have a rest from the internet as it's very much part of most our days now.
DeleteLots of old boots and many tales to tell.
Thanks.
Your header shot quote and picture is great, and so true. As for your post, what a neat place to stay Margaret. I love the old stepladder and the horse box used for the laundry room. So pretty around there. Once again thank you for the map as I am always very interested in looking at them. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThanks re header Denise. I took a photos of the magnolia from the garden yesterday and made the graphic for a change. I make wallpapers for myself for my desktop, laptop and phone..sometimes I don't like what I make :)
DeleteAlways good to include a map in my book as it must help people who are not familiar with Tasmania.
Muy buenas imagenes, amiga
ReplyDeleteUn saludo
Thank you.
