Down by the River

Down by the River Murray or Murray River in Echuca, Victoria there is an Esplanade where you can walk and catch the Riverboat and along this Esplanade I took some things of interest.
Firstly is a place to stay, one of many.

Things of old gone by era.

Don't know what these bluish things are long the fence and partly in the tree - just decoration I suppose.

A alley way back to the main road and the back of another accommodation place.

  2. The blue things looked like blossoms when I embiggened them. Real or articial.
The area looks lovely though - a well preserved nod to bygone days.

  14. Unfortunately Echuca township is now virtually closed down due to the travel ban between Victoria and NSW.
Hopefully all will be back to normality soon????????????

  17. The title of your post reminds me of the famous song by Louis Armstrong:
'Down by the Riverside'. There are several known songs entitled 'Down by the river" (Neil Young, for instance).

I like things of the past, and the port town Echuca seems to give them high respect by preserving them.
